I don't think "next" is the best word to describe him. I think he will be something, though. The guy seems eager to learn, and it is the WWE's fault that they brought him up too early, and gave him a shitty gimmick.
He really earned my sympathy when the WWE introduced the Wellness policy, and when Masters slimmed down, they lost interest in him. What did they expect would happen? Instead of using this to create a new direction for Masters, get him moving in the ring, and to try and inject some substance into his character, there were reports he was about to be fired.
Now he's back on the juice, so we'll see where things go. Jim Cornette (who knows his shit) once predicted who he think will be important in the wrestling landscape. Some names he has thrown out are John Cena, Batista and Randy Orton. He was pretty dead-on about them. He also threw Chris Masters out there.
The guy doesn't get much fanfare, but I'm remaining optimistic about the guy.

I saw him on Blind Date. He wasn't a dater but he was teaching this guy and girl wrestling moves and they used clever TV special effects to make him look like a homosexual

Well, I think you're wrong if you think he's the next great heel.

To quote Paul Heyman....
"FUCK YOU YOU'RE WRONG!!!"
Nitro is the next great heel, if they would freaking push him.

Fuck that, stick Johnny Nitro and Chris Masters together as a new version of MNM. Not as a tag team, just as a unit which helps each other win their matches.
Masters needs a new finishing move, too. Something awesome. There aren't enough awesome moves used in wrestling these days. At least turn The Masterlock into a "Mastertrap", and have Masters apply the move in a camel clutch position.

All Chris Masters needs is a real finisher and he'd be on his way to immortality.

I'd mark out if Chris Masters started putting guys in a Torture Rack, then dropped into a backbreaker, and then from the kneeling position gave them kind of a Reverse F-U, and then applied a full-nelson camel clutch.
Another idea for Masters: Slingshot Fisherman Buster.

So many guys in the WWE are just a good finisher away from being embraced by the IWC.

I've always believed Masters to be the goods. Great in the ring? He could be if his matches were coreographed to his strengths. His match with HBK is a good example.

Masters isn't Arabian enough to use the camel clutch.

I have never had the slightest fondness for Chris Masters. I'm pretty sure I'd like him to die.
As I've said before, he's going to get a world title one of these days, and I'm going to cry. Fuckin cry.

No way. He is a mid carder. Santino has pinned him twice and so has Super Crazy. Even Lashley broke the full Nelson. He is fucking boredom.

If none of that ever happened and he still had the same booking he had late 2005 he'd be a player.

Master is getting better. I haven't been watching much recently, but I remember when he beat Super Crazy with a wheelbarrow suplex... Then when he was fighting Santino, and Santino dropped down to reverse the masterlock, like a lot of people do, Masters immediately transistioned into the wheelbarrow suplex....
Maybe he didn't mean too, but how often do you see guys who have a second finisher to counter a counter to his primary finisher?

Even Lashley broke the full Nelson.
"Even" Lashley? The man's shoulders are as wide as Mount Rushmore.

Heel? Masters is going to be the company's next top face. Look at the reactions he was getting when he came out...Nobody booed him, they were in awe! King even said so.

I could see him doing well, he is picking up the pace as of late and doesn't look like a clone anymore.
I will retort this topic with the most logical, best explained rebuttle there could be with Chris Masters and greatness...
...No...No he's not.

Masters has the potential and I agree with giving him a better finisher. I like the torture rack idea, but split that with a powerbomb.

I'll admit the guy's improved. I used to despise the fuck out of him, but some of his matches with Super Crazy haven't just been tolerable--I sort of slightly enjoyed them. He does bust out and surprise me sometimes. I don't think he's got quite the level of charisma needed to be the "next great heel," but I think if he keeps improving and the WWE doesn't totally toss him, he could be a main eventer someday.
