I've been hearing nothing but good things about this game. But lately, I've heard nothing except that a countdown timer is going on the Japanese website on this game.

The countdown on the Japanese site, I believe, is just for the re-launch of the site. However, people are guessing that with the re-launch, it means new information FINALLY :eek:

He's not right, nobody knows EXACTLY when any of the big games (Mario Galaxy, SSBB, or Metroid Prime) are coming out.

Retailers put out random release dates all the time.

The site (smashbros.com) is up again. It says we'll get daily weekday updates. So far the only stuff on the site is a description of the first stage, a list of people that are working on the music, a piece of music from the game and a "How to Play" thing.
Wonder what we'll get next.

Gonna try and get a wii off that xpango site, my mate is going for the ps3 so if it works he said he'll give me his credit card number to get a wii for me.

Because Nintendo sucks when it comes to online.

It's so crazy how a company with a history of strong multiplayer games becomes the weakest when it comes to the next logical step in online gaming. The Wii is online enabled and the DS has online multiplayer despite a gay friends system. Perhaps if Smash Bros Brawl is a big enough success they'll make more online-enabled games in the near future.

Having played Mario Strikers online for a week now, I can honestly say that if the demand for Smash Bros is anything to go by, don't expect to get online much. The servers keep crashing at Nintendos end preventing me and many many others across Europe from getting online. Having said that, this is a FREE service, so can't expect it to be as good as Live, etc.

Regardless, I'm still excited about the game.
