Wade Keller is reporting that RVD is officially done with WWE as of yesterday. WWE felt that keeping RVD around and burying him on TV was not worth it and it was better to get him off TV as soon as possible.
His contract wasn't going to expire until until late June at the earliest but WWE cut that short considering RVD said he would not resign and they had nothing for him until then.
He is expected to sign with TNA after a long deserved summer break, although he may end up back with WWE as the two are still on good terms. Never say never.

I guess there went his last appearance at One Night Stand....if this is true...

pfft, bullshit. He just left because his little budy Sabu got released earlier in the week and he couldn’t stand the emotional pain of it anymore. Try to feed me that line of shit, will they...?

TNA is whats better? :wtf:
What a shame. It's times like these where I really hate WWE. I know some people argue that he did this to himself with the pot thing, but for Gos sake, it's pot!!! WWE should've gotten over the pot thing as soon as his suspension was up. He had so much momentum going into ONS2. Oh well....

Well, like stated above, he'll be squashed in a more gentle way.
Prediction - Couple of months off, one year deal with TNA and then resigns with the WEE and is a bigger star than ever.

That's what I said. The WEE.

He'll go to TNA, have little IMPACT!, but will probably have some entertaining matches nonetheless. And then just fade into the distance in two or three years. WWE will bring him back for some cameo appearances YEARS later.

Yeah, it would be kind of cool if both Angle and Christian came back to the WWE.
Christian could kick the shit out of Cena...for real and the people would cheer him.

I can see Christian coming back, but I think Angle is done with WWE for good. He might want to come back sometime, but I bet they wouldn't take him...OR, take him and then totally shit all over him as punishment for all his jaw-jacking he did as soon as he left. I don't see him coming back until he's inducted into the hall of fame in 10-15 years, if he's alive then.

I'm dont know if I should be glad or what. I love RVD, but TNA hasn't done any good for any of the poeple that jumped ship except maybe one guy, and that's Rhyno.
Everyone else has been a joke. I dont know. Well see.

They weren't any good for Rhino for a while either. In fact, when I first really payed attention to TNA a while back, he was getting crapped on pretty thoroughly.

I don't know, right up until they jobber the title off of him he was on fire. I was in love with the build. That whole PPV where Rhino won the strap was phenomenal. Winning three matches in one night, and the final one allowing him to capture the title off the otherwise unbeatable Jarret was so much fun.
Until one week later. Ruined that shit right fast.

It's all about face. And RVD was stupid enough to cost them face, even in a sense that didn't matter to anyone except for some washed up carnies.

If RVD can't get TNA's numbers up then no one can. TNA needs to realize this if they want to make it big. Just in case RVD isn't their own Jesus Christ then TNA needs to revamp every single goddamn thing.

He fucked up, he'll have to live with that. But his chances of remaining champion or even in the main event much longer after July, regardless of what happened, were slim to none. He'd have had the belt off him by Summerslam, and ECW would have undergone the New Breed revolution in either case. He was just lucky enough to be given a push to the moon as a vehicle to promote their new brand, and he was the perfect fit.

I mean, has Vam Dam ever been a full fledged draw out side of his tiny fanbase? I can't see him making any difference in TNA. Hell, If the Angle + Sting combo cant win the crowd over what can?
I kinda hope RVD does make it big in TNA, even tho I don't watch it, just so the WWE can see how much they fucked up...

What does make it big in TNA mean?
I dunno, gets way over and has a world title run? Gives TNA a slight ratings boost? I realize how unlikely it is, but it would be a great way for RVD to stick it to WWE.

Some folks around here believe that having 5 rabid fanboys fellating you is better than being a mainstream draw (Like Sting or arguably Angle) is.
Angle didn't help ratings. Sting helped ratings for one night (And all he had to do was stay off TV for 5 years!)
RVD won't, either. Austin, the Rock, and Triple H could join TNA, and we'd see only a minor bump.

But you are right.

Why the fuck would RVD be squashed in TNA? If anything, history has proven the exact opposite.
And he will be a great asset to TNA, and will be allowed to do more there than he ever could in the WWE. TNA is still a much better place to work than Vinceland. They actually seem to be improving, as well. Not as much Russonomics coming into play since Sacrifice.

It seems to me that the only WWE guys that have gone to TNA and HAVEN'T gotten jobbed out to Jarrett were Christian and Angle, and they have worked largely in a Jeff-free TNA for the past months.

I'm excited about RVD going to TNA. There's a better roster of people for him to have solid matches with than ECW right now.
ECW- Burke, CM Punk.
TNA- Lynn, AJ Styles, Daniels, Christian, Rhino, Angle, Samoa Joe, Alex Shelley, Sabin etc. Those are all  PPV matches for me.

Just thought about something: does WWE have a trademark for Mr. 420 or Mr. PPV? If not, go with that. I'd check, but I'm lazy and I really don't care.
Seriously, though, he should go with a promotion that could use a HUGE rub from having a performer like Rob Van Damm... Ring of Honor.
Would it be viewed as a step down? Perhaps. Personally, I think his little cult, the percentage that may not have heard of the company except for that one little blurb from Matt Hardy that one time, could infuse some life into that company, and it would be a major coup for the company.
I still say that ROH has a better shot at being a threat to WWE than TNA does, even with their lack of TV deal.
