Is he supposed to be TNA's Answer to Eugene or something?

He seems like a really large 10 year-old.

When I look at that pic, the name "Ricky Retardo" goes through my mind. I have no idea why.

Then again isn't everyone in the Impact Zone at least a little retarded?

God I wish they would turn him heel so badly. Young does one of the best cocky heel gimmicks I've ever seen.

I think he would be okay in the right gimmick. He's quite annoying at the present however. He has some charisma and is acceptable in the ring.

I watched TNA once many months ago, and they ran some angle that Young was going to get fired, and everyone was upset. I think they fired him that very episode. Then I watched again fairly recently and the same angle was still going. They were still threatening to fire him even though they had fired him the last time I watched. What's the deal with that?

I get the feeling that they actually might turn him heel and have him beat down jarrett and actually align himself with Robert Roode.

This was the most retarded storyline ever.
Eric Young lost his job after losing a "You're Fired" match against Shark Boy.
The very next week they announced he'd be having a match against Larry Zybisko, who was pretty much sort of the GM at the time, for a shot at getting his job back.
The week after that he was sneaking around Impact and Borash had told him about last week's announcement.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Questions raised for that angle:
1. Why did they book Eric Young in a match against the man who fired him, AFTER HE WAS FIRED?
2. The man who fired him was the general manager. Who was this faceless comittee that booked him in a match?
3. Why did they not call Eric Young and tell him he had a match?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now part 2 of this thrilling storyline.
Robert Roode is a very hot commodity and businessman. Tracy Brooks is his manager. He was pinned twice in a row by Eric Young, whom the people loved.
In order to get fan support, Robert Roode had Tracy trick Eric Young into signing a contract that states that he is Robert Roode's slave. Weeks and weeks of bullying happen. Eric Young starts telling people he has a friend.
Eric Young finally gets sick of Robert Roode and stand up to him, he gets beaten up and Jeff Jarrett turns out to be the friend he was talking about and comes to Eric Young's aid.
Robert Roode shows up next week on Impact and fires Eric Young. Jim Cornette appears and states that he can't fire Eric Young because he is already under contract to TNA (which reveals that Jim Cornette is an asshole for not stepping and helping poor Eric Young earlier).
After months of building this Eric Young/Robert Roode feud, Jim Cornette books Jeff Jarrett vs Robert Roode for the upcoming PPV. Robert Roode pins Jarrett.
Eric Young comes out again and says that the fans are his friends. Robert Roode comes out and says he's not firing Eric Young, he's just going to sue him. Eric Young wipes his ass with some legal documents and throws them at Roode. Roode beats him up again.
ONLY IN TNA.

Oh and a Kangaroo came to Eric Young's aid and some random fan gave him a chair to try and help him fend off Robert Roode. Reading this whole back is hilarious to me.

That little story wasn't as retarded as what you said, but still retarded.
Basically, it was a 5 way clusterfuck, I forget who was involved, but whoever was pinned/submitted was fired. It was set up by Jim Cornette. Larry Zybsko came down and interfered and cost him the match.
Jim Cornette was the guy in charge, Larry Zybsko was "head of the championship commitee" and Cornette decided to have the match between Eric and Zybsko to see who would be fired. Zybsko lost and Eric Young stayed.
As for your 3rd point, Eric Young was busy stalking people in TNA, so his cell battery died and no-one could call him. Duh. :shifty: (or shit booking, one of the 2. I can never remember)

He just like a lot of TNA and X-Division stars are kinda skanky. Thats the different between WWE guys and TNA guy, TNA hires old school style rasslers, WWE tries to hire attractive people. Hate to say it but it makes it better to watch.
