View Full Version : If ECW had the financial backing...
This has probably been discussed before, but I don't care.
Where do you think ECW would be right now if Heyman had good financial backing, had 100% control of the company and stayed on the popularity incline that they were on around the end? Would it be in TNA's place? Higher? Would the style have changed for a more main-stream appeal?

Are we supposing that he actaully had someone else in control of money and planning, and all he has was complete creative control?
ECW, would probably be around the size of TNA. It would ever get as big as WWE because it isn't mainstream enough to catch on. Though, if they could have survived long enough to pick up some WCW talent, and Heyman was willing to change the product, it could have gone further.

TNA would never have arisen, and since ECW had the market on slamming the WWF back then, yeah, it would pretty much be the same as it is now. Plus a lot of WCW talent would have gone there instead of WCW, so we might not have had to deal with, at the least, Scott Suckfest Steiner's WWE run.

Pretty much, I'm thinking of him being in Bischoff's position where he basically ran everything from hirings, etc.

Yeah...thought I have a feeling that it would still have gotten to the point that Heyman would have been fired. He seems to be a hard person to work with.
