Is it true that if you are the WWE Champion, you get a higher pay rise, and when you drop it, your salary drops?

I doubt it's true. It's most likely a year basis contract thing

Regardless, who do you think gets payed the most

Try to name the top 10 in order

I would almost bet there is somebody really obscure in the top ten that you would NEVER guess...

My top ten is:
1. Vince
2. Triple H
3. Cena
4. Shawn Michaels
5. Undertaker
6. JBL
7. Flair
8. Orton
9. Batista
10. Foley

And my obscure, never woulda guessed it pick, is Finlay. Now, MAYBE, you would guess it cause he's been around the business for so long, but I doubt it. My reasoning is 1) He's been around the business so long, 2) He seems to be in favor of the powers that be, 3) I'm not sure, but isn't he invloved with creative/writing too?

Yeah theres usually suprising names in salries. If I am correct wasnt Scott Norton one of the top 10 or 20 highest paid wrestlers in WCW while Flair was not?

Wasn't Mark Henry re-signed for a fairly high contract again? Not a million a year, but I'm pretty sure it was above the average.

I'm surprised no one has said Booker T. I'm sure towards the end he was making good money in WCW. I imagine he would be making some good money in the WWE now.

Though I don't really care.

The champion may get paid more based on the fact that PPV bonuses are a big deal, and the guy that headlines the show...the champion, usually gets the highest bonuses on a consistent basis.

HHH
Undertaker
HBK
Cena
Batista
Randy Orton
Edge
Ric Flair
Rey Mysterio
Chris Benoit

Can't remember where i saw the list, but big show and angle were still there just below cena. I reckon it must be wrong though as i rember thinking ''orton being higher than edge? wtf?''

Shawn Michaels has the best deal in the business, from a downside/guaranteed point of view.

Cena is most likely top earner when you include his downside, PPV and merchandise bonuses, personal appearance fees, his cut of The Marine etc.

The only reason the WWE Champion is usually the highest paid guy in the company is because there is a much higher demand on the champion for promotional appearances, house shows etc. They work more often, they get paid more moolah.

I'd imagine the list goes something like this...

Cena
Hunter
Undertaker
Michaels
Batista
Edge
Kane
Orton
Kennedy
Flair

Something like that would be my guess for top ten paid.

Didn't Shawn sign a $1.5 million a year - 5 year contract just recently?
