What band do you think has done a really great cover of a song, what band did they cover, what band are they and what song did they cover?
I've got a few that were really decent, imho.
Disturbed - Land of Confusion (Band: Genesis)
- Not a real fan of Disturbed, but their cover of this song was magnificent.
Mae - March of the Pigs (Band: Nine Inch Nails)
- Mae doesn't do hard songs, so this was something different, and lived up to the NIN version.
Anberlin - Enjoy The Silence (Band: Depeche Mode)
- One of my favourite songs of all time done really, really well.
Anberlin - Love Song (Band: The Cure)
- the 311 Version sucked ass, this version is 100% better.
Weezer - Veloria (Band: The Pixies)
- Amazing cover of a great song.
Alkaline Trio - Bye Bye Love (Band: The Cars)
- Just kinda makes me LOL.
Alkaline Trio - Children in Hear (Band: The Misfits)
- Best Misfits Cover Ever.
Ben Folds - Bitches Ain't Shit (Artist: Dr. Dre/Snoop)
- If you haven't heard this, your life has no meaning.

Some of these weren't written by the person who did them, so I'm clarifying
Johnny Hyde - Tainted Love (Originally performed by Gloria Jones)
--Better than the Manson version, IMO.
Stone Coyotes - Paranoid (Originally performed by Black Sabbath)

Niell Young)
Brian May - Hot Patootie/Whatever Happened to Saturday Night? (Originally performed by the cast of the Rocky Horror Picture Show)

Probably misssing some.

Arsis - Things she said ( OA: Depeche mode ) A well-crafted death metal rendition of a depeche mode song.
Arsis - Roses on White lace (OA: Alice Cooper ) Another awesomely done death metal cover.
Angry Samoans - Somebody to Love ( OA: The Great Society ) A punk rendition of the classic 60's song.
Minutemen - Have you ever seen the Rain? (OA: CCR ) A punk/funk cover from the greatest punk band to ever exist; outdoes the original by leaps and bounds.
Minutemen - Dr.Wu (OA: Steely Dan ) Another folkish punk version of a Steely Dan tune. Outdoes the original by leaps and bounds as well.
Love - My Little Red book ( OA: Burt Bacharach ) Cover by one of the greatest rock bands to come out of the 60's and outdoes the original, too bad the White stripes butchered it later.
Sun City Girls - The Shining Path (OA: Peruvian Trad Folk ) Avante-garde Alt-rock version of a classic folk song that captures the essence of the old west like nothin' else.

That would have been better if it wasn't one verse ollowed by like 5 minutes of ZDLR saying "Fuck the police" over and over.
Fred Durst could do some really good covers. I actually liked the cover of Blue Eyes too.
Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit really were never as bad as everyone started to act like.
