Does anyone have this weekend's SNME on tape? I wanted to watch it but fell asleep and missed half of it.

I really enjoyed it, I talk more about it tomorrow, but I'm tired tonight.

You enjoyed that show? That was the ultimate piece of dog shit, it was beyond horrible.

I found it entertaining for the most part.

It was pretty pointless really. Just a bit of fun. Didn't effect storylines at all tbh.

Well besides doing the old "Challenger beats John Cena before PPV so Cena can go over at the PPV" angle.

Well there was that. Although that wasn't particularly necessary as Khali and his team went over on Raw.

WWE didn't even bother hyping it this year. Last year they had storylines on Raw and Smackdown leading up to SNME, sort of treated like a PPV. Now that it was moved out of prime time it's obvious NBC has no confidence in WWE anymore, so the show seemed like a bit of an FU to NBC tbh.

Also, why have it the night before a PPV? Just felt like the wrong time to have it. Couldn't they have done it on a free weekend.

The main event was Eugene, Kane and Doink the Clown VS Viscera, Umaga and Kevin Thorn. Nuff' said. :shifty:

(That was the main event right?)

I watched. It sucked. A Lot. Just like been taken back to when the WWF/WWE was really really bad. Oh wait, that's now isn't it.

I had no idea it was on. It was after 12:30 and I was bored so I was going to watch the last of SNL, but SNME was on. I was sooooo lucky to catch the main event of Kane, Doink, and Eugene vs Kevin Thorn, Viscera, and Umaga. That shit sucked.

I had no idea when SNME was on because WWE did a shit job promoting it.

That wasn't the Main Event. They were told to format their show like SNL does, starting out strong and then working down to your weakest segments. Hence why the World Champs all were out first, then came midgets, whores and finally strange gimmicks. For late night television you always start out with your best and the later it gets, presumably the more people have turn the TV off for the night, the less the quality becomes.

Well they fucked that up then didn't they. Cena vs Khali to start = not the best

Seriously, a horrible embarrassment of a show.

That's how SNME always was in the old days. Hogan was out first, then they'd have a break segment with interviews or something, then a tag match and a midcard level match, and finish off with a couple of no-names.

I taped it via DVR...I got bored mid-way and decided to watch it later...I did and it still sucked and was still boring. Hell, the only reason why I even had an interest in it was because I heard Goldust, one of my favorite old-school wrestlers was going to be on it...but then I read on here that he wasn't going to be there. So that sucked. :nono:

I'm not sure that format is the best for SNME nowadays. It's one thing for talk shows and SNL to do that since they're on a regular basis, but for a special it seems like people would be more apt to record it or just stay up and watch it.
