It sucked.
Seriously, I thought that was one of the worst Raw's ever. How fucking predictable was that entire show?

one of the worst Raw's ever.
That about sums it up.
Total ass 20 minute opener.
A Vince-oriented show.
Carlito squashes a woman, why? To get him over as a heel, or to further demoralize the man?
Tag Title switch for no good reason; happens the night after a PPV AND kills what was an interesting and watchable angle between them and Cade & Murdock.
Lackluster match between Orton and Flair.
And Khali was the MOST interesting and entertaining bit of the night.
:nono: Just, :nono:

Yeah, it was fairly gay. Stupid Cena winning again.
I would have much rather Umaga or Kahli have won and pinned the other, thus allowing Cena to claim he didn't lose the title, and have him hunting for the title...then getting trade to Smackdown.

The whole opening shit made me really wish it was going somewhere interesting, and then I thought to myself, of course it isn't. It's going right to Cena vs. Khali. And then when Vince said triple threat match, I knew it was Cena/Khali/Umaga...and just...blah. I don't even know what else to say about it. Horrible, horrible, show.
Theo Dious
06-05-2007, 03:31 PM
Also, Cena gets beat up by Khali for a month, everyone puts over how he's never been pinned...
...then Cena does it twice in 2 days.
That doesn't say "look how good Cena is," it says "what the FUCK was wrong with him up to now?!"

I was hoping to see Cena get a ramp RKO at the close.

I hope Cena gets drafted to Smackdown, thus me never seeing him again, with the exception of PPVs and the rare appearence.

I was HOPING for something to lead into a Cena vs. Anybody Else fued. But of course not. If Vince was going to be out to punish all the champions, I wish it would've gone something like this...
Lets pick up at Vince telling Cena he has to defend his title...
Vince tells Cena he will defend his title, in a Fatal Four Way! But he' going to announce his opponents one at a time, and to start with, Randy Orton!
So far... Cena vs. Orton vs. ? vs. ?
Later on...Vince comes up to Jeff Hardy after losing the tag titles. Jeff is hurting when Vince comes up and tells him he better heal up real quick because tonight he is in the fatal four way match for the WWE Title.
Cena vs. Orton vs. Jeff Hardy vs. ?
After Carlito beats Torrie Vince congratulates him on earning the #1 Contendership for the WWE title.
Cena vs. Orton vs. J Hardy vs. Carlito
Now, the match ends with Orton pinning Jeff Hardy and becoming WWE Champ. #1) Cena doesn't have to lose which can lead him into a feud with Orton or an easy transfer to Smackdown #2) Orton goes over a diminished Jeff Hardy would could lead to a potential feud with those two, seeing as how Hardy wasn't given a
fair" shot in the match #3) I don't particularly like Carlito so he is just a filler. BUT, it gives him a little bump up the card, maybe gets him a little more over, and gives the slightest snippet of purpose to squashing Torrie earlier.

I dunno, I'm really liking Randy Orton right now. Fucking vicious. It's nice. The Hardyz and Cade/Murdoch put on another pretty good match. I'm really enjoying the work they're doing together. Speaking of tag teams, I thought the opening match was fun, and I'm really liking what they're doing with Nitro and Dykstra. Good to see both of them back on television. I thought Vince was actually pretty hilarious in his role last night. All kinds of stuff, really. The main event was pretty piss poor, but I wasn't disappointed last night.

There are good things if you sift through enough of the big steaming pile of shit that is the overall storylines, etc. I like Orton's character too, and thats why he should be in a more important role than he is right now. Are Khali and Umaga really above him so that they deserve repeated title matches and crap? I wish they would have drawn out the Hardyz/C&M angle longer, they couldn't done more with it. Nitro and Dykstra make a decent tag team, but with the depleted roster and lack of a legit midcard, Nitro and KD would both be more valuable on their own right now. Particularly Nitro. With the state of WWE's Mid to Upper midcard, Nitro could be one of those guys ont he fringe of the main event right now. I'm not saying he should be champ or anything, but he could be one of those guys giving Cena some trouble and challenging at the IC level.

Well, what you also have to understand is that the draft is coming up next week. Now isn't exactly the time to be planting the seeds for long term feuds between people on shows who may not even be there next week. Could it be better? Sure. But it's still enjoyable to me.

Vince was terrible last night. That opening promo just killed the show and the kept having vince on all night.

I wouldn't have minded the crazy Vince promo and the show revolving around him if any of it had actually gone somewhere.
And I know the draft is coming up, but everybody is on every show anyway so it really doesn't even matter.

I have to ask this somewhere, and here seems as good as anywhere:
The last guy who had Vince's gimmick got is as punishment for nearly killing some jobber in the ring.
So did Vince piss himself off enough to merit the Perry Saturn treatment? And when will he show up, talking to a broom?

Tonight on ECW:
Bobby Lashley puts his ECW Title on the line against Vince McMahon's Broom! After the beating he took at One Night Stand does Lashley have what it takes!?! Find out tonight!

Or if he had ended it with "You're Welcom."

Completely agreed as the Worst RAW I've seen since getting Sky Sports back (fuck knows when that was).
Why on fuckin earth was the WGTT not put on RAW? Yet on Heat. Possibly, if not THE best match at ONS and it's like it never happened.
Whatever the writers are doing, I just hope they've got some plan up their sleeve, cos really, I don't think I could put up with what happened yesterday anymore.
RVD has gone, Sabu has, ECW needs some love and attention. The "Draft" really needs to save WWE's arese for me now.
I know one thing.... Next week will not be as bad as this week... nothing could ever be as bad as this week.

You guys are seriously mental if you thought this was the worst Raw ever.
Mr. Nerfect
06-06-2007, 05:54 AM
Yeah, no one could it have been the worst. Take any RAW prior to WrestleMania for that. The DX RAWs were pretty fucking horrible. Plus there was the era where Triple H had it by the throat. Those were pretty damn bad.
Carlito vs. Torrie Wilson actually served a good purpose, in my opinion. Vince looks like a crazy bastard, and Carlito looks like a slimeball willing to play along with him. I've been thinking for quite a while that Carlito would make a great heel challenger to Lashley's ECW Title. He's probably got quite a bit of heat at the moment, and he can bump his ass off for Lashley. Hell, Carlito is one of the few guys to get a good match out of "Chain Gang" John Cena. I think Carlito bouncing around the ring for Lashley would be at least twice as enjoyable.
The Hardys should have dropped the belts to The World's Greatest Tag Team. Unless the plan is to draft Matt Hardy to RAW, having Cade & Murdoch win the belts, besides giving them heat, really does nothing. There are no face teams to feud with them. OK, there is Cryme Tyme, but you kind of need an established team. Cade & Murdoch could have gotten the face rub from The Hardys and feuded with Haas & Benjamin, while Jeff Hardy goes to either ECW or SmackDown!, and Matt Hardy does the same.
The opening mixed tag contest was logical and good booking, in my opinion. The main event was yucky, though.

What was likeable about it?
The continuation of Cade/Murdock wasn't bad... till they fucked it up.
Orton wasn't bad, but his match with Flair wasn't that interesting.
The whole thing with Vince would have been LOTS better if he had been, say, hepped up on painkillers, and acted more like JBL did when he was talking to the dinosaur.

And if I could pick between Triple H having a stranglehold and Vince/Cena having a stranglehold, I pick Triple H.
