I mean, seriously, we see the cruiserweights on SmackDown! about as often as Halley’s Comet, and Chavo has no real reason for keeping the Cruiserweight strap, he’s defended it what, once or twice during his 4 or 5 months as champ? And what’s more is that not only is Yang talent that’s under-used right now, he’s a deserving, hard-working guy who I think genuinely deserves to get the strap from “Chavito” at Vengeance, and let’s also not forget, as was pointed out last night on SD!, Yang has two pinfall victories in non-title matches over Chavo...one in a 1-on-1 encounter and one in a non-title tag match.

Id like to see JWY get a run as CW champ.

Totally. I think he should have won it from Helms in the first place. Giving the belt to Chavo has just seemed truly pointless. They need to be giving young hardworking starts pushes like that, not just handing out titles to established wrestlers.

I think it's time to push the goddamn CW title off the face of the earth! Let's just get a good old fashioned TV title! that would be a better way to go.

But that would mean some creativity on from the writing department,DAMMIT!!!!

I wouldn't mind Yang with the title, as he's damn fun to watch in the ring, but I really wish they would get that stupid ass gimmick off of him first. It doesn't seem like a gimmick that should have a championship, if you know how I mean.

If there was no Cruiserweight title then they would probably fire all the singles cruiserweights except for maybe Helms and Chavo.

Yang should've been given the title months ago.

Cruiserweight division sucks, they cant do anything, are the too limited and restricted in what they are allow to do, WWE and there watered down product.

I find it fucking hilarious. And he pulls it off well, even had a hick girlfriend for a few weeks. And he had a match with Jaime Noble that I found hilariously ironic.

It sucks balls compared to old WCW stuff, but it's much much better than most of the stuff they show on television.

You don't really get pushed to the Cruiserweight Championship, you just kinda get prodded towards it.

If he doesn't get the strap, he might have to punch someone tonight.

Young hardworking start?

He came over with the fucking invasion didn't he?

This guy was awesome when he was with the Yung Dragons in WCW, he has been awesome since then, with WWE choosing not to notice most of the time.

Yeah, he's ten years younger than Chavo. So he's the younger talent.

Younger, but not young, and not a "Start."

I'd have written this, but you have already.

Ain't London or Kendrick on their last warnings for doing like "Alternate" Moonsault's and the SSP?

Supposedly, yes. I don't know if it's true, but it really seems they're banning anything that involves taking your feet off the ground.

Actually, I'm not being cynical here, but has Chavo Guerrero even defended the WWE Cruiserweight Championship once since he won it? He faced Scotty 2 Hotty in a non-title match, then I seem to recall a six-man cruiserweight tag. Then it was WrestleMania, and things were forgotten. The SmackDown! after it was that pretty sweet London & Kendrick vs. Chavo & Helms match. Then we got Chavo losing to Jimmy Wang Yang in about three one-on-one non-title matches, and some tag matches.

I really think that Chavo is yet to defend the belt. I might be wrong on that, though.

Brian Kendrick got the pin on Chavo in a the six-man on the most recent edition of SmackDown!, so I'd give him a title shot this week, and have Chavo roll him up using the tights and ropes to retain. Then there is Slammiversary, and I assume Vengeance will be the week after (Two Sundays without PPVs in a month? Get out!), so I'd have the announcement of six-pack match at Vengeance, with a three-way cruiserweight tag on the SmackDown! before the PPV, featuring the six competitiors: Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. Jimmy Wang Yang & Jamie Noble vs. Chavo Guerrero & Daivari. London & Kendrick win because they are the team with experience. Have London pin Chavo this time, and put over the fact that London, Kendrick and Yang all hold falls over Chavo.

I actually think Kendrick or London could use a Cruiserweight Title reign at this point, as they are still coming off that WWE Tag Team Title reign. Some matches between the two over the title could be hot. Chavo and Yang can still stay in the scene, and London can work some of that magic he has with James Yun in some matches. I'd go with Kendrick for the win at Vengeance, though, just so he balances out London in the Cruiserweight Title reign department.

Watch for the Alienoid/KK feud to carry over to this thread anytime now. It's bound to happen. His haters seem to start on the whole "Val Venus/Paul London/Basham" bullshit whenever he makes a valid point. I'm just going to make sure I make those people think twice about making a cheap shot like that and instead actually come up with VALID points against his arguments.

That being said, I tend to agree. Yang should keep his gimmick, though, since its strangely getting him noticed and somewhat over. Give him the CW title and then have him run with it, killing people left and right in title matches. I'm sure the gimmick will run stale at some point, but he seems to be enjoying what is being given to him right now.

Again, gimmick is at the very least hilariously entertaining. Which ensures that I'm entertained, which is what wrestling lacks. The fact that he's one of the top cruisers going also means I get alot more entertainment. Therefore JWY > Most of the WWE roster.

The gimmick stays, besides I'm sure they can't think of anything better for him. Besides maybe a TNA mocking gimmick. . .and I don't know if I should doubt that ever will happen or expect it very soon.
