I put spoiler in the title because I have no clue when people finally get to watch this. So just to save time from people yelling me to put it in I just went and did it.

So with them saying that this is Batista's last shot at the belt...Who here actually doesnt think Batista will win the belt? I mean hell...they have been giving him a shot all this time and obviously now that its do or die I see it as a big chance that he will win it....sadly....

The only reason I see him not winning it is if they trade him to possibly ECW during the draft. That way when he loses to Edge he doesnt have to worry about challenging him again for the belt. Instead he challenges Lashley.

He won't win the title.

And if he does for some reason, I'll shit bricks and then throw said bricks at Titan Towers.

Yeah, I have a feeling he'll probably be drafted to Raw and they'll use this as an angle to sell the ppv

*Will Batista go back to SD? Order Vengeance and find out*

Not that I care where he goes. Not really a fan.

He won't get drafted to Raw.

Batista will end up feuding with Mark Henry on Smackdown.

I think that might be the worst match ever.

But on a seriously note, has anyone besides Batista even had a shot the title since he dropped, I mean even one time on time since then, I mean has the term "Number 1 Contender" lost all meaning, I know the WWE hurting right now with injuries, but they have no one to blame but themselves for the position their in, the refused to pay any attention or push any or their mid carders the way they should and now we have the same match week after week becuase there is no on of any credibility to face Edge, and so what will we get after Edge once again defeats Batista?
Most Likely Edge vs Matt Hardy, which though will be good, is to early for Matt to be pushed to the main event level yet, and the only other option is Beniot, or something with Orton if he's drafted, and if none of the above at least we have Kennedy's return to look forward too.

This is only his first last chance. He'll get as many last chances as Hogan has had last runs.

I think it just means no more title shots as long as Edge is champion

What face would you make Edge feud with over the WHC next?

Yeah it means 1 of 3 things

1. Batista goes to RAW or ECW
2. Batista feuds with Mark Henry
3. It wont be Batistas last chance, just not right now

Batista stays where hes at, Smackdown needs the star power, not to mention he has be have there longest next to JBL and Taker, and neither is in competing in the ring right now, not to mention RAW doesnt need him and Smackdown does.

But with that said, it is WWE.

How many "last chances" have wrestling superstars been given over the years? Whether it was Bischoff threatening Ric Flair that it was his "last chance" to wrestle Hollywood Hogan for the WCW Championship, or Vince McMahon threatening Stone Cold with his last chance at the WWE Championship, it's never really a "last chance," but more like a "last ditch effort for ratings."

Unfortunately for WWE, Batista vs. Edge isn't nearly the draw that Flair/Hogan or Austin/Rock was back in the days.

Now, it's just an empty promise. Either Batista is going to win the belt and the "do or die" situation means squat, or Batista loses and moves to another brand where he challenges for THAT title, or he actually moves down into the mid-card.

Yeah. Batista is probably going to be a 3-time World Heavyweight Champion.

Yeah MVP was given many chances for the U.S. Title

I wouldn't mind seeing Batista literally dying.

I got a feeling he'll be drafted to ECW, but they will still have the title match at Vengeance which Batista will win..however he'll have to drop it to Edge or make the title vacant due to Batista being drafted.

You mean, "No more title shots as long as they can remember continuity."

And since even the bookers don't watch Smackdown, he'll have a title shot within the month.

Yeah MVP was given many chances for the U.S. Title

MVP earned his title shots, though. After his initial shot at WrestleMania 23, he defeated Chris Benoit in a non-title match, which put him back into contention. After he lost at Backlash, he had to beat Kane in a #1 Contender's Match. Another thing to keep in mind is that the Benoit/MVP matches have been very good. Edge and Batista have very little chemistry together.

To be perfectly honest, I don't think Batista winning back the World Heavyweight Championship is outside the realm of possibility. He is SmackDown!'s top face, and this is like his upteenth shot at the title. I mean, from a mark's point of view, Batista has to win the World Heavyweight Title at some point if he is to retain credibility. If we're lucky, Batista will only win due to assist from Mr. Kennedy, or something.

It'll be ultra shitty if Edge drops the title so quickly.

Also, I think they are kinda gearing up for Edge/Benoit. Just the way Benoit totally handled Edge the entire match on Smackdown, it makes him look perfectly legit to challenge for the title.

As far as Batista, I think it would be cool if he lost AGAIN, then turned heel with a "I can't beat him, might as well join him" attitude, and have him be Edge's bodyquard.

I'd love to see Batista drafted to RAW, have him still intend to challenge Edge, but have Vince come out and say "Nope, sorry, I've decided that the lines between brands will be reinforced, and a RAW Superstar will not get a shot at a SmackDown! Championship, however, he can face John Cena for the WWE Title."

Batista then kills John Cena to win his first WWE Championship. SmackDown! can then house a tournament over the few weeks they have leading into Vengeance to crown the #1 Contender for Edge's World Heavyweight Championship.

Sadly, because it's WWE, that'll STILL be BAtista.

I'd like to see Batista sent to ECW to fued with Lashley. Not because I want to see the matches themselves, but because being on ECW I wouldn't have to see him on my TV ever again.

It's about damn time they admitted that Batista has had far too many title shots.

Also,

I'd like to see Batista sent to ECW to fued with Lashley. Not because I want to see the matches themselves, but because being on ECW I wouldn't have to see him on my TV ever again.

I pray that every guy I can't stand gets sent to ECW where I couldn't see them if I wanted to. :y:

Though Batista vs Lashley would probably take place on Raw, despite being the ECW main event.
