If you were given the #1 pick in Yahoo fantasy sports, who would you pick as that first player.

A-rod

That's a tough one.

Yeah probably A-Rod although I'd be tempted to go with Halladay or Prior right now.

Pujols last couple of years was listed at 3 different positions. This year it's only two. If he still had 3 I'd say him. I wonder if A Rod will get 2 positions listed this year. Me, I'd say a pitcher would be by #1 pick.

Beltran or Vlad

Arod, because he put up huge numbers in the Rangers and now with a lineup like the Yankees , there's hardly any chance of pitching around him.

A-Rods overall #'s will decrease in New York. I would have to agree with Pujols, or maybe Bonds, or Vlad.

Since its fantasy its between Pujols and Arod. I'm assuming it would be a head to head league in which case a pitcher doesn't warrant a number 1 pick in my mind as most leagues have more offensive categories than pitching.

I would probably take Arod even though I think Pujols is better. Arod just feels like a safer pick cause he can still bat .250 and get 100 RBIs and runs.

Plus Arod will be listed as a 3rd baseman and a shortstop on yahoo and there is a lot less depth fantasy wise at 3rd base.

He's not listed at 3rd this year?

I'd say Ivan Rodriguez. Simpley because of his position. Strong arm, good bad, and there isnt exactly an excess of awsome catchers in baseball either.

I dunno, I havent really seen him play too much since he was with the Rangers, maybe he's gone downhill.

Pujols. I'd have said A-rod in previous years, but I make it a habit not to have any Yankees on my fantasy rosters.

I disagree that his #'s will decrease. He has better players batting around him. More guys will be on base, thus more RBI's...plus he'll get less intentional walks, because of the fact that he's surrounded by a better lineup.

Anyways, my pick would prolly be Bonds or A-Rod. Carlos Delgado might not be a bad pick either.
