Tivoed this week's (may have been a repeat) Gamehead on Spike and it was a Retrospective on Miyamoto, the creator of countless Nintendo classics (if you didn't know). You can watch the whole episode here: http://www.spiketv.com/index.html?dl=shows/ss/sid=5/t=ss#shows/ss/scid=44/sid=5/t=ss (Under full episodes, 7th down). It was pretty awesome.

Anyway, discuss the awesomeness of the Nintendo God, Shigeru Miyamoto. :y:

Who do you feel Miayamotos best series in games was? Marios prolly the most famous and had great games, but I feel the Zelda franchise is the best!

I dunno, there's so many to choose from. I think Pikmin is a great, vastly under-rated franchise. <3 Not his best but it needs some love.

I like that he's created so many awesome games and franchises. He's really helped revolutionize the video game industry so many times (along with countless other people too).

Get it straight, he took a company that first started out with playing cards (in japan back in 189X, cant remmeber but i did a report on Video games) and by 1991 created a charcter (mario) that was more recoginzed by children then fucking mickey mouse. I know he didnt own it the whole time but damn, he really fucking is THE man of Video games to me.
