100 years after his death, he will be pushed as a superman babyface and be in his 157th year in his reign as WWE champ. :|

There are no viable, believable contenders for Cena's belt. Period. And since the WWE has no interest in cultivating actual rivals for Cena but only having "villains of the month" the thought of a heel taking the belt from Cena (especially with Edge out of the picture) is unlikely. That is why I have a sick feeling that Cena will drop the belt somewhere down the line to Lashley.

Don't you think the wwe is pushing Lashley way too quickly? He's not ready for the bigtime yet

He's gonna drop it to Rey Mysterio obviously.

Randy Orton will get it right before Triple H returns. Triple H will take it from Orton a month later. Triple H will turn heel. Cena will make Trips tap to the STFU again a month later. Cena has it back.

WWE will fold before this ever... and I mean E-E-E *slap* EVER! happens.

:y:
Although I get this feeling that Cena won't be champion in January, he'll then win the Royal Rumble, and go on to Wrestlemania and make Trips tap to the STFU. Then his push will be 100% complete, and the only thing that'll be able to stop him will be kryptonite....or Hogan.

I have a feeling MB;'s got the right idea. Cena will job to a heel who jobs to Trips.

Yeh i think it goes like this.
Orton def. Cena @ Summerslam.
Triple H returns around that time, begins to fued with Orton.
Triple H def. Orton @ New Years Revolution (since thats when Orton "put him out")
Cena wins Rumble, Triple H turns heel. Cena vs. Triple H fued.
Cena def. Triple H @ Wrestlemania.
Cena never loses again.
I'm guessing Triple H wants to main event SummerSlam, so I'd imagine Orton's winning at GAB.
Unless he doesn't want to be associated with such a jackass of a show.

Cena's only weakness is Cena. Knowing this fans will build a Mecha-Cena in hopes of beating the champ at his own game. Mecha-Cena suddenly develops AI halfway through a main event title match against Cena, and joins forces with him.

Heres another question: will Cena EVER lose the title without being somehow "screwed"( i.e. shaky finish/ interference ) out of it?
Until Cena goes heel he won't lose clean, no.

Until Cena goes heel he won't lose clean, no.
not to be confused with every other face champion since the early 1980's.
my guess is he drops the belt to Trips, but clean. Even though Trips has said many times he prefers to be a heel, he wont be able to when he comes back... however it will be easy to flip Cena and let Trips take the belt, have a short feud with Cena after, securing the rematches... and then moving on to his next feud maybe HHH v. Kennedy or who knows.

He lost clean to Michaels and Khali...but in non-title matches.

Cena will only drop the title when Vince perfects his cloning technique. Tim White was a test subject, which is why his clones were all so suicidal. Little Boogey was also a failed result, who is kept around only because Vince likes at least one midget on the roster, and is convinced that Hornswaggle really IS a Leprachaun.

Mercury Bullet is on the right track. Triple H will probably end up with his first WWE Championship in over five years when he comes back. I can see him beating a Randy Orton or King Booker or even a Mr. Kennedy or Umaga for the belt, but it wouldn't surprise me if they switched the belt straight from Cena to Hunter. They had the perfect chance to get the belt off Cena at Vengeance, and they didn't take it. I really wouldn't be surprised if the main event of Summerslam is Cena vs. Triple H with Triple H winning cleanly.

And Cena turns heel afterwards, goes nuts putting the STFU on HHH and not letting go.

Now, Cena will only job to whoever they decide will get Benoit's second title run. He will probably tap out clean to like, Hornswaggle in the Crippler Crossface.

Actually, I can see them handing Chavo a main-event run in Benoit's stead. Though I doubt it will be against Cena.

That would be awesome, but then I'd be marking out for John Cena, and would be wanting to see him destroy Triple H and win back the Championship, which won't happen, because Trips will have his hand in the cookie jar again.

It was a joke, really. I mean, as cynical as I am, the drama of Hornswaggle getting Benoit's run and making Cena tap out is just to hilarious to not run with.

I would love to see Chavo in the main event, to be honest, but I think right now, William Regal has the better chance. He was apparently moved to RAW by Triple H so he could get a bit of a singles push, and he is a guy the WWE trusts to play instructor to the young guys.
It's sad that Chris Benoit had to pass away for it to happen, but William Regal as a World Champion, even if it is on ECW, would be a glorious thing to see.
I think the best thing for Chavo right now, is to team with MVP and win the WWE Tag Team Championship from Deuce N' Domino. Chavo has the whole "similar to Eddie" thing, and MVP was getting close to Benoit, and learning from him. I can very easily see them becoming a sort of tribute tag team. It could help their standing on the roster, and prime them to climb the ranks a little bit.

Regal isn't the same caliber mat wrestler as Benoit was, but he's probably the closest thing WWE will get while Angle is pissing up a pole in TNA.
Back on topic, the two best up and comers WWE has IMO are MVP and Ken Kennedy. I would love to see Kennedy get the title off Cena and then do a 3 month feud with Trips.

I'd really like to see Regal get a push. I think he'd need to shape up a bit, but I really enjoy his matches. He's also quite comical, which helps. lol.
But I really hope there will be something "FRESH" about WWE now with all the draft things, the storylines having to be re-written now etc.

It's either HHH or Kennedy. I hope heel Kennedy gets it and feuds with HHH
with heel Kennedy cleanly emerging as the victor after a very long battle with lots of false finishes back and forth. He will get Austinesque respect from fans. This would be awesome!

I love Regal, but he will never hold a world title in WWE. I'd be surprised if he even won the IC or US.
Most likely, he'll drop it to Orton at some point. Maybe even Kennedy. I don't expect Cena to stay strapless for a long period of time though. If he doesn't hold a belt for months, he'll most likely be taking some time off. If he actually loses the belt, he'll probably regain it after like two months.

Regal has already won the Intercontinental Title, and he's fueded with Finlay over the US title but I'm not sure if he's won it.
Hopefully some special situation comes by to stop Cena from breaking some sort of record for length of title reign. The Orton, then HHH, then back to Cena angle sounds an awful lot like RVD, Edge, then back to Cena.

Regal deserves it. I consider him to be the best current wrestler to NEVER hold the World Title. Even a short run would work wonders for him before he can settle into a full time Agent position.

I think the best chance we'll have of Cena losing the title will be if he goes away to make another movie.
Sad, but true.
