View Full Version : TNA in negotiations with Fox...
Several weeks ago, I noted that MyNetworkTV was interested in TNA programming and that the two sides had met. As it turns out, I was wrong.
According to several entertainment industry sources in California, TNA actually met with the Fox network itself at that point, not MyNetworkTV. I've also confirmed negotiations are still moving forward at this point.
This potential TV deal could mean a pretty major jump in the amount of TV hours the company currently produces weekly because of the opportunity for exposure through multiple networks, as I am hearing this could be a multi-network deal.
From PWInsider
I'm guessing they're looking for the Fox networks and not Fox Sports. Though who knows.

Thats a big boost for TNA, if they will capitalize on it.

Bringing in Waltman and reforming the Original DX will be big too.

I don't recall Tovo posting this, so I'm going to have to question the credibility.

If they could pull of an actual deal on FOX or FX that would be huge. FOX is a major network and FX has really gained momentum since their original programming has been huge. Personally, TNA should try and keep iMPACT on SPIKE and get another show on another network. I don't know how their talent would feel, but eventually TNA is going to have to leave that shithole in Orlando and go on the road.

Wasn't Fox also talking to WWE when their Spike TV deal was running out?

Well, this means nothing to me as I don't understand US networks (what's bigger / better etc.) ffs, we get 5 channels here terrestrial, and one is wank.
Though it does show Baseball matches live on Wednesday's and MLS (which will be like gold dust when Becks gets there, so I bet they won't be having that much longer).
Anyways, if it does pay off, that'll be awesome. Competition is healty, but I do agree with many people... get rid of that fucking 6 sided ring. It's not the fuckin UFC. It's Pro Wrastlin'.
Also brings me to a note that I ain't seen a bloody PPV of TNA in ages, nice one Bravo. Fucking idiots. Thankfully, some peeps from here gave me links to vidz of the shows. But still. Bastards.
2 hours prime time on fx would be big. i don't know why spike did not give them 2 hours they have plenty of spare hours on spike.

Fox is one of the largest media empires in the US, and technically the world.

It is also one of the biggest jokes in the media in the US, and technically the world.

Well yeah, but we're talking about the corporate presence in general. You know, the guys who brought us "Who wants to marry a stripper?"

That's only a drop in the bucket KK, I could go on and on, and on, but "Who wants to Marry A Stripper" is as good as any.

As reprehensible as most of their programming is, and the number of Good shows they've canceled, they are a formidable media empire.
