I had intended on posting this thread several days back due to many calling Vengence one of the worst PPVs ever. What do you feel all time the worst PPVs are?

I say the worst are

Uncensored 95
GAB 91
WM 9
WM 11
Heroes of Wrestling

I agree with December, I also want to say the Great American Bash where Rey lost the title. Not because he lost the title, but because it was pure shit.

The first NWO Souled Out was probably the worst PPV I've ever seen.

December 2 Dismember.

The only PPV I've ever ordered, and actually regretted buying. It's also the only PPV I've ordered and not taped, or watched at least part of the replay.

I didn't watch D2D but it sounds like the worst. I did watch Vengeance and most of the others mentioned here, and Vengeance takes the top spot in terms of all the ones I've actually experienced first hand.

Slamboree 2000 was pretty horrid.

I still say Vengeance takes it, simply because Vengeance had a phony good show feel to it, which makes it all the more disappointing. As we came into the year 2000, we pretty much expected WCW PPV's to be bad.

Where's ABT with that picture of the giant turd-cake? Because that's the cake Vengeance takes.

I forgot what ppv it was...probably New Years Revolution 2005...like 3 matches ended early due to injury...I think it also had the Stevie Richards Vs Tomko match that just blew horribly...and then to top it all off the ppv ends like an half an hour early.

I dont think Vengeance was that bad...but then again I was there and I guess just the live experience made it seem like it wasnt bad...Ive yet to watch it on TV.

Honestly the worst is Heros of Wrestling, but the worst WWE PPV I have seen...

King of the Ring 95, and I also hate WM 9.

Anything from WCW final year of business, and I'm gonna say the worst PPV ever lies in Vince's WCW tape vault somewhere.

WM 23 was bad but it was also overhyped... far from the worst PPV ever. Money in the Bank and Taker-Batista alone keep it from being considered a worst PPV ever candidate. It's just that everyone expected MUCH more.

Heroes was probably the worst PPV ever but since I obviously never saw it. I'm tempted to give it a look in a weird train-wreck sort of way but... nah.

The first NWO Souled Out in '97 was horrific. Some strange Miss NWO pageant won by an old ugly lady... NWO ref (Nick Patrick) for every match leaving, I believe 3 instances where WCW somehow found a way to win (One was overturned.) The main event saw Hogan get DQed after NWO interferance in an ending that was undeniably WORSE and more anti-climatic than every Nitro leading up to the PPV. And, the entire PPV was in black and white and had NO crowd reactions whatsoever.

I think I summed everything up.

WrestleMania has such high expectations that it is almost impossible for the event to live up to them.

Given the hype... and given the fact that it was a WrestleMania....

It was a bad PPV.

If they put the show in February and called it "No Way Out", then it would have been a good PPV.

The only bad match was Kane/Khali. The ECW Originals/New Breed match wasn't great. The Women's Title match doesn't count. (It wasn't even 5 minutes long).

Wow... that's not true at all. They card wasn't spectacular and it was nowhere near as hyped as most recent WMs. (It got more mainstream attention, yes. But that's different than just hype.) It could have easily lived up to the hype. WM 17 was insanely hyped and it even surpassed expectations.

But again, it was WrestleMania. There were no "WrestleMania" moments... no great matches... nothing really remarkable or impactful to a storyline even came out of it with the exception of Taker's title win (If you consider a 40 year old man winning the title on the biggest stage of them all a big deal). It was just bland all around.

The Hardy-Edge ladder spot was actually pretty wild, whether or not it's a WM moment can be disputed.

No Wrestlemania moments? Are you kidding?

1. Trump/Lashley/Austin shaving McMahons head was priceless
2. Undertaker/Batista was a really good match
3. HBK/Cena was another really good match
4. MITB was sick
5. Umaga/Lashley was a good match

It was a great PPV I thought, I really don't get the negative reactions. Sure it wasn't on par with WM 17 but that was the greatest ever, you can't expect that every year.

McMahon getting his head shaved was nothing more than a huge reach for a "moment." It was one but not really one of those spectaular moments.

Taker vs. Batista was good but something that could have been done on any randon PPV.

HBK vs. Cena was a HUGE disapointment

MITB was good but... it was MITB, it HAS to be decent and even then, it was the weakest one so far.

Umaga vs. Lashley was all the Austin-Trump-McMahon clusterfuck. The match was just a sideshow. Not even a very good one either. Austin was on TV (Always the go-to when they don't have any good ideas) and McMahon got his head shaved. (Really the only thing that could have been considered a WM moment.)

And as far as the Hardy-Edge spot, it was good... but Hardy and Edge already have much, MUCH more memorable WM moments to overshadow it. It really wasn't what it could have been.

I have to agree KOTR 95 was AWFUL. I forgot completly about that. Didnt TPWW back in 06 when we rated the WM's rate WM 11 the lowest?

I confess to really enjoying WM9... Oh man.

Completely agree that KOTR 95 and WM11 were awful.

As an aside, when did WWE PPVs stop going the 3 hour distance? (WM's apart) - I can't remember the last time a PPV didn't end at least 20 minutes early. Are PPVs even advertised as 3 hour programmes anymore?

It was a damn good match until Cena proved why he doesn't belong in the main event.

WrestleMania 2000 might also be one of the worst wrestling PPV's I've ever seen, simply because of how huge of a letdown the whole thing was.

I adore it when the heel wins at the big ones.

Haha i forgot about the Redneck Trialathon, fuck you for reminding me.

Goldberg vs. Jericho was the hot topic for that paper view, cause they had that big backstage confrontation backstage and everything. Was pretty bad though. Worst paperview i've ever seen might have been King of the Ring 2002.
