Again I don't know how well this will go down but my hopes of Regal getting a push weren't rubbished so it's worth a go.
Shelton Benjamin - Is it me, or did Shelton in his very, very quick match on Raw at least show that he has a lot to offer?
I know since his 'heel turn' he's hardly been involved in very much at all, and the Mamma business pretty much put pay to him being taken seriously for a while.
But it's obvious to me he still has something - I think he's good enough and certainly young enough to go on another title run. Hell, he beat HHH twice in his first few weeks on Raw if I remember rightly.
Do any of you think WWE is patient enough and resourceful enough to look and see what they have in Shelton if they put some time into him or would it again be back to searching for new, bigger and greener guys.
I'd hate for Regal, Venis, Shelton and so many others like them to just go to waste, how many decent workers will be left?
Thoughts?

Shelton has a lot of in-ring talent, and yes, personally to offer. The WWE's faith in him seems to fluctuate, so we end up getting Shelton teases, but never a full-fledged push.
Personally, I'd like to see Shelton start something with King Booker, where Booker blames Shelton for his loss, and then Shelton decides he's had enough of it, challenges Booker, and Charlie Haas says he has Shelton's back. Haas then turns on Shelton, and becomes Booker's new "Royal Knight" and feuds with Shelton, who is much more endearing as a babyface. Throw them the Intercontinental Title, and by the time they're done, the belt will mean a lot, and Shelton (and maybe even Haas) will be ready for elevation.

He's been in the WWE for 4 and a half years now. He should be in the main event by now.
When him and Charlie Haas got back together I had high hopes. A "Main event tag team" type thing... here's hoping.
Anyhow, I doubt they'll ever do much with them both. When they do all release massacre 2008 I predict these two will be on there (Or at least Haas will be anyway  )

Short and sweet from you Alienoid and I do agree.
Isn't Shelton known for his cocky / arrogant ways backstage though which hampers his likeability to the right people?
I like Venis / Regal / Shelts, I think it would be awesome to see all 3 giving cred back to the IC title. I don't get why they moved so many to RAW, have so many rotting on HEAT and repeat most crap on RAW several times over. I mean, I like JR, but if I had heard him once more say "Let's show you what happened to Mr McMahon" I would of hopped on a plane and burnt his steakhouse down.

He's amazing in the ring, but lacks the mic skills to be a main eventer. He's not horrible, but to be a great main eventer, you gotta have the skills. I personally don't care about mic skils too much because I watch wrestling for the matches first. Good mic work is only a plus.
If they don't know what to do with him, just have him wrestle every week. You don't need story lines and anngles for every match. He knows how to work a crowd and can get tons of loud "OHHHHS" and "AHHHS" shit like that.
He doesn't need to be a main eventer, but with his skills he should at least be used a lot in the ring.

Yeah, if his mic work could be improved, he'd have no real limits to what he could do.

I think WWE needs to use Shelton more for great matches. I mean look at his match with HBK on RAW in the Spring of 05, it was a heck of a match and the crowd was into it!
