It looks like it's Nail and not Piccolo thats fighting Frieza so it looks like he's finally played like King Vegeta and King Cold. I wonder what moves Babidi will have though?

Nostalgia caused me to buy the uncut box sets of season 1 and 2, and then subsequently, budokai tenkaichi 2, so I'm actually looking forward to this. Also, I saw somewhere that there is a DBZ MMORPG coming in Japan, that lets you create your own characters.

Looking at the pics closer, Pui Pui and Yakon look like Babidi's moves, as it looks like Babidi himself is the playable character. It's about time King Cold and King Vegeta are playable though, since Bardock was playable in Budokai 3 and Budokai Tenkaichi 2.

While I like the fact that they seem to be going all out with the characters, he was a major point for like what...five episodes?

I could think of tons of other characters I'd rather see, but by no means am I complaining. The BT series is just one that's seemed to have gotten better over time, IMO, so I have high hopes for this one.

The powers of Dragon Ball Z never cease to amaze. Roughly the 128th game in the series, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is on its way to the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 2 later this year, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Featuring an absolutely massive roster of more than 150 characters, including each of the 120 found in Budokai Tenkaichi 2, fans will be hard-pressed to find a character in the universe that isn't represented here. All of the returning characters have seen a makeover for greater detail, animations and so forth, so expect to see the best-looking Tenkaichi characters ever.

New levels and environments are also abound. One level we saw was a desert locale, similar to others we'd seen in the past, only this one was littered with more small rock formations for hiding, as well as a scattering of giant mushrooms. The scenery is all destructible, allowing for even bigger impacts when fighters are tossed into them. Another stage we saw featured a few domed huts in the middle of a destroyed city, with crashing buildings all around.

But while new content is nice, it's the gameplay that matters. The team went back to the drawing board a bit and refined the controls to make them easier and more accessible to its potential audience. Long combos can now be performed with a single button, which while taking out some of the skill needed in order to excel, means that a younger audience will be able to hop right in and kick some butt.

Another new addition is the Battle Replay Mode. After a fight, you'll be given the option to save a replay of the fight if you'd like, which you can then watch over and over again. The camera options here are still being worked on, but you'll at least be able to swap views and watch the battle from your opponent's view if you'd like.

The Wii and PlayStation 2 versions are identical in most respects, with perhaps a slight visual edge in the Wii's favor, but each has a unique characteristic or two. In the Wii's case, this is obviously its control scheme. One big change here is that the game no longer relies on the sensor bar for input. Everything is now relative to the Wiimote's movement, meaning that you don't need to point at the screen with pin-point precision in order to do battle. Special attacks are now easier to perform as well, with an icon appearing in the lower left-hand corner that shows you what gestures you need to perform when you're powered up for an attack.

In addition to its control scheme, the Wii version is also unique in that it will support online play. Some of the details here are being kept under wraps as things are still be worked out, but we do know that there will be a rankings system in place. There won't be fight lobbies or tournaments available, however.

While PlayStation 2 fans may be a little disappointed that the online is unique to Nintendo's console, PS2 gamers may rejoice knowing that they'll have access to the Disc Fusion System. This option allows you to unlock the Ultimate Battle mode by popping in a copy of either Tenkaichi 1 or 2. After it confirms you have the disc you'll be off and battling in no time.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is set for release this November.

Also, how was the second one for the wii? Would you reccomend using the wii controller over PS2?

I played with the Wii controller last time and it took some getting used to. I've heard that it gets natural after a while, though.

If they stopped where they're at I wouldn't complain. This game series offers the greatest fan-service outside of Mortal Kombat Armageddon, as well as the most faithful in-game engine of the greatest action anime ever produced. Games like this (with Rock Band and Smash Bros Brawl) raise the bar with fan satisfaction that makes certain franchise's yearly let-downs seem even more disappointing. *cough* Madden *cough* SvR

I say bring it on. I noticed there are less high profile games coming out at one time but an increase in quality. It's about time the curve was broken. Back on topic: DBZ BT3 will be the shiznit.

AF is fanfiction; a high production fanfiction but a fanfiction plain and simple. I doubt the official game will support anything from that series. if they're gonna do any fantasy arangements it should be within canon like SS4 Gohan or new fusions.

Got it the same time as SVR2008, and quite frankly more impressed with this then I am with Smackdown.

AI can be tough, even on Easy, they will see Blasts coming a mile away, which adds some realism to the game, since most fighters in the Z World know how to dodge an Kamehameha Wave.

Dragon History seems a little ackward, but still nice none the less at certein points in an fight in the series, like we'll take The Freieza fight for example. It starts off with Vegeta for Frieza, while there fighting, you here then talking to etc...Vegeta boasting, Freieza getting humble, Vegeta talking about Frieza second form etc.

At an certein point an thing to hit R3 is show up, you can ignorge it, or you can hit it, and the fight will go on as it did in the series...example, hitting the button causes Freieza to transform, switch out to krillian....

Alot of character moves have been redone, and made to look better...Kid Gohan has his Masenko that almost beat 3rd Form Frieza...Piccolo (Early) has the move that kid an Saibamen, Goku mid has an 20 X Kaioken Kamehameha, the game looks great.

However the only thing I have a complain is with, are...It become an pain in the ass trying to find an Dragonball, since the on screen radar is gone, They also took out the best thing from BT2, which was the experiance deal, but they kinda make up for this, allowing you to have 3 different customization of an character.

Most of the characters are unlocked out of the gate, You only end up getting about 20 of them thru story mode, Dragon World Tour and Dragonballs.

Overall, I'll say it's an great game, better then BT2 in some areas but lacking in others, but overall, I said it's an 8.5, about the same as BT2, or just slightly below it.

I hate GT, and I hate Goku, but I love playing as GT Kid Goku as an Super Saiyan 3.

Very disappointed I can't change the shoulder buttons. I basically switch the L and R functions since Charging up seems like a R2 thing to me. Other than that I love personalized attacks and Broly's been done justice.

This was definatly a better game then Smackdown this year, unlocking all the characters was a pain but once thats done the only thing thats really hard is the disc fusion bonus battles. And Figs right about Bio-Broly, that is the worst of all of them though I have all 13 and the GT bonus story of Goku Jr.

I know this is a unique old hentai porn game (http://dragonball.primehentai.com/), but I can remember how much fun a I had with it. Yes, I'm a huge Dragon Ball Z fan, but that alone wasn't it. This game simply got me hooked and that's that :P
