I was reading a little history about "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers when I read about the famous "Battle of the Nature Boys" between him and Ric Flair. Flair won the match and Rogers passed the torch to the new Nature Boy.
How over would Randy Orton be if the killed the legend of Ric Flair in another Battle of the Nature Boys, becoming "Nature Boy" Randy Orton. LC would probably have a heart attack.
Think about it...

Oh Man, that's a markout moment right there. But I can see that happening down the line as I also see him taking down HHH too. But Orton killing Ric's Legend = Yeah, but just keep calling him the "Legend Killer."

I think it's cool for Orton to "kill Flair's legend", and all, but I don't really like him donning the name "The Nature Boy."

No need to call him the Nature Boy, he has the whole Legend Killer gimmick, which is fine.

Plus, they've already got him callign himself the "hardcore legend."
It's a cool idea, but throwing too many titles on him will just bog shit down.

ah no
It'd have to be a while. Doing something like that now would ruin Orton's credibility later on down the road.

Would Orton then be required to WOOOO 95 times a night?

Well from what I have read, Flair is suppose to have his career come to an end in a match against an opponent. I have also heard that Randy Orton is suppose to end a members of Evolutions career. Could it possibly be Orton vs Flair in the making. I guess only time will tell.

You know, a combination of senility and anger at the fact that he never makes it off the top rope...

LOL!
He did make it once I believe. It was historical.
I think the idea's good, except for the Nature Boy part. Just have him end Flair's career. That way, he could have actually killed a legend.

HJmmmm...Legend killer...
Vince McMahon promised that Undertaker would stay dead...
I have this idea...
Wrestlemanias XXI-XVI--Taker and Orton feud in a Buried Alive match each and every WM.
now that would REALLY kill Taker's legacy. ;)

He used a cross body block to beat Harley Race for the NWA title at Starrcade 83...I about had a heart attack...

Yeah it was just an idea, he wouldn't have to become "The Nature Boy" but Orton making Flair tap out to the Figure-Four would be a moment.
If Flair's legacy could be killed then it would have by now. Flair tapping out to his own move would cause too much of a Backlash so it's not worth even bothering.
Nobody would ever believe anyone but Flair as the 'Nature Boy' now.
Remember, you can't kill Flair... WOOOOOOOO!!!

He made it off alot in the NWA/AWA/Mid-Atlantic days. Hell, he even beat Harley Race with a cross body block.

Thank you though, for taking statements about a feud with an inanimate object so seriously.

There's no need to be an asshole about it.
And there was no need to be so evidently anal about it.
Is there any reason to actually believe a suggestion of Ric Flair fueding with a turnbuckle to be serious?

Ric Flair has been pulled from RAW brand house show duty due to a neck injury that could force him to retire. Flair never expected to wrestle as much as he is when he originally signed with WWE a few years ago. He is currently working most house shows, TV events, and international tours. It is not known whether the neck injury was suffered in a specific match or is the result of a long career.
