Orton/Cena
Good chance Orton will win the WWE Title.
The question is...
What kind of pop will Orton get at the PPV?
He's been getting crazy pops lately but sometimes PPV's are different. I don't know.

Seriously think about it. Holy shit I just got a nice idea. With all this Benoit stuff, they prolly want to give Orton another run. With Cena leaving to film that movie, I would have Orton win the title and do the knee to Cena's head saying he killed the legend of John Cena's title run and John Cena in one night. HOLY FUCKING HEEL

I am almost begging for an Orton title run now. After he got squashed after his first title run, he seems to be on his best roll since then. And just maybe, he'll be the one to finally stop Cena's reign. And no better place to do it, than the ppv which he first won the title.

Hahaha, John Cena vs. Randy Orton isn't much improvement over the other shit Cena has been doing. I'm sorry, but as hard as Randy Orton has been working, he's going to be shit as WWE Champion, and his only real reason of being is to job to Triple H.

I cant wait till Summerslam...everytime there is a wrestling ppv I go to this place nearby the shows it for free. I sit there and watch it and every time there is this guy who is possibly the biggest Cena mark in the world. He always sits beside me and when Cena comes out he takes his shirt off to reveal a Cena shirt underneath it...he then proceeds to stand on the table and do the chain gang sign...
I think when Orton defeats Cena I will stand up on that table with my Orton shirt on....and then kick him straight in the head (Orton Style)
I was hoping and praying that Kennedy wasn't going to get the match, because it's obvious that Cena's losing and they're going to be fed to Hunter.
Frankly, it's not a bad idea and I am looking forward to the match.

Yeah, with the revival of the "legend killer" business, and getting credit for putting HHH, Michaels, RVD, and now Dusty Rhodes on the shelf, it won't be hard to accept. That plus the fans' anger with SuperCena will pretty much take care of it.

Something that bugs me is how Cena has overcome Championship Challenges, Fatal-Four-Ways, Triple Threats, Elimination Chambers, Great Khali, etc and everything else imagineable.
So why are we suppose to believe that Randy Orton would pose any kind of threat to John Cena?
Loose Cannon
07-24-2007, 11:28 AM
no, you've got a point and one I can't argue with. That's what my main argument has been about WWE booking. It's like a sea saw. They push guys stong for a couple months (weeks in some cases) and then they quickly depush them. Then they do it again and again. What happens is nobody becomes a threat.
If you look at the picture right now, they just did it to Lashley. Here he was wrestling Cena for the Main Title in the company and now he's in a feud with Carlito :wtf:
Orton has jobbed and jobbed and jobbed and now he's winning again. Is it the match we all wanted to see three years ago? Maybe not anymore as it has lost steam. I mean Cena has beat him a couple times.
But it will be fun and Orton has been on a tear as of late, so maybe to the fans, he's regained the "stuff" I suppose.
SammyG

Depends on how they do the build up for this match. Cena and Orton are 2 stars, with great mic skills, and I think they can make this feud really hot. It's gonna be fun to watch. In the end though, I believe Cena retains.

Good chance Orton will win the WWE Title.
The question is...
What kind of pop will Orton get at the PPV?
If the WWE play it off right, I wonder if they could pull off the old heel/face switch?
It probably won't happen (nor should it), but the fans DO love Orton.
I believe that Orton could be a very good face IF (and this is a big IF) they don't make him start kissing the fans ass (as he did back in 04').
One big mistake the WWE makes with all its top faces nowadays, is that they make their faces lose the 'edge' to their characters (that 'edge' of which made them great heels).

No no no. Heyman, I love you but this Orton heel thing would be a fresh thing for one thing. I am sick and tired of watching a face champion. A heel champion would open so many doors. Orton is years away from a face turn because as of right now, he reminds me of The Rock. Like seriously. He is a heel, does heel things, but yet fans still cheer him. It's like the Rock from his latter nation days Corporation days.

I'm hoping Triple H comes back, and gets injured. I know I just wished harm on a man, and I feel awful for that, but honestly, the man is not what the main event scene of RAW needs right now. I honestly believe it will be a bad move to put the WWE Championship on Triple H until late April/early May next year. Have him feud with Booker, then move into a non-title program with Orton, and then have him feud with Ric Flair heading into Ric's alleged retirement match at WrestleMania, where he jobs to Hunter. Then Triple H can go after the WWE Championship, again.

I didn't do the greatest job of explaining myself. I'll try again.
Basically - what I want, is for Randy Orton to be the EXACT INVERSE of John Cena.
Let me explain. John Cena is technically a face right now, but gets HUGE boos for the most part (especially in bigger PPV's).
What I hope that WWE do with Orton, is keep him as a heel right now.....but use his feud with Cena to garner him HUGE face pops.
Once Orton finishes his feud with Cena, he can still ACT like a heel (and pretty much still be one). However - the fans can cheer him anyway (ironically enough, similar to The Rock....the example that you mentioned).
Keep in mind - Austin and The Rock BOTH received their largest face pops (during their respective peaks in 98' and 99') when they both ACTED like a heel. The moment that both men deliberately started playing to the fans a lot more, is when both men started seeing a gradual decrease in their popularity.
BOTTOM LINE? If the WWE can somehow make Randy Orton an "inverse" of John Cena (i.e. technically a heel that gets cheered BIG TIME) it could mean good business.

You mean you want them to do what they did with Brock Lesnar, and Randy Orton (the last time he was pushed) only not blow their load and screw it up again by turning him.

You mean you want them to do what they did with Brock Lesnar, and Randy Orton (the last time he was pushed) only not blow their load and screw it up again by turning him.
Exactly. Just as the WWE has stuck with Cena as a face (despite him getting booed immensely), they should do (and should have done) the same with Orton...and Lesnar for that matter (i.e. stuck with them as heels DESPITE them getting cheered immensely).
Like I was trying to explain to Splaya. Orton doesn't "officially" have to turn face in order to get cheered (as just as Cena doesn't "offically" nave to turn heel in order to get booed). In fact, the exact opposite can happen if they made the complete turn (as we saw with Orton in late 04'/05').
Let Orton continue to act like a dick, and watch him get immense cheers...especially against Cena.

Yeah. Right now, RAW is where "the future" need to be cutting their teeth. Triple H isn't going to kill RAW if he wins the title, and I think Triple H can help the younger guys when having a feud with him. I'd have Triple H do non-title Main Event feuds and maximize the people wanting Triple H to win the belt. Then, you wait a little bit more and give it to them (I bet it draws! OMG). I am going to try and do this as realistically possible since I don't really like coming up with stuff that has 0% chance of happening:
Orton beats Cena at SSlam and keeps the title until at least WrestleMania. Have Triple H feud with Booker (which is obvious) until Survivor Series and go over (but please give Booker a win at least one of the PPVs). Then have a one-month feud against Jeff Hardy for Armageddon (Triple H goes over, but Jeff comes out looking legit for coming so close to beating Triple H). Then have Triple H enter the Rumble as one of the 1st 10 guys and last until the final 4 before being eliminated (the other 3 guys being Cena, Edge, Lashley). Lashley wins the Royal Rumble (which is what I am thinking will happen if he isn't injured). At No Way Out, I'd do Cena/HHH II. The match ends up a double KO after a hellacious bloody brawl (this will keep both of them looking strong). Ric Flair is announcing his retirement match at WrestleMania 24, and asks Triple H to be his final opponent. Obviously, Triple H agrees. They go old school and do the 2/3 Falls with a 60 minute time limit. Triple H wins the 1st and 3rd falls, and Flair wins the 2nd with the Figure 4. They hug and have hot anal mansex or whatever they wanna do after Flair's last match. Fast forward to the main event of WrestleMania 24, Randy Orton vs Bobby Lashley: Orton counters the spear into an RKO and Lashley kicks out at 2 (the crowd goes wild!). Orton goes crazy and poises to kick Lashley's head off (like he's been doing) but Lashley dodges the kick and spears Orton into 2 (bah gawd!). Lashley gets the 1-2-3!. (I'd rather go the WrestleMania XIX approach and have Orton beat Lashley in the sub-main event and have the SD! title match in the true Main Event spot with the face going over, but WWE wouldn't ever think of doing that.) Triple H gets the title match at Backlash, but Orton interferes and RKOs both of them (Lashley gets up first and spears Triple H for the pin). At Judgment Day have Orton vs Lashley vs Triple H for the WWE Championship. Orton pins Lashley and wins the WWE Championship back. Then at One Night Stand or Vengeance(whichever they keep), have Triple H vs Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. Orton wins through countout after a ref bump and Orton uses a sledgehammer on Triple H while they are fighting on the outside. Orton then gives him the kick of death. Orton gets back in the ring and wins by countout. At The Great American Bash, have Lashley vs Triple H for the SummerSlam #1 Contendership spot. Triple H wins after having to pedigree Lashley 3 times. Orton faces Jeff Hardy or somebody in the Main Event and retains. At SummerSlam, Triple H and Randy Orton face each other in an Ironman match. Triple H wins 4-3 and becomes the 11-Time Champion! Then you get Cena/HHH III going for awhile.
This way, a lot of young guys get the rub from "hanging" with Triple H and almost beating him. Lashley gets the ultimate push in wrestling, and Orton gets 2 reigns that are meaningful and a feud with Triple H that actually means something. That is the most important thing the WWE needs right now, feuds don't mean anything. This gives meaningful feuds that give a lot of people "on the cusp of greatness" the rub and sets them up for huge thing in late 2008/2009.
