Strange Problem. (360)

I need to know if anyone else has had this problem.

The guide button on my control has stopped working.
The d-pad, analog sticks, and the rest of the buttons still work fine. Just the guide button stopped working.

It's a wired control, so batteries aren't the problem.

Could just be fucked somehow. Do other controllers work?

Friends wired control works, and my wireless one works, now that I have batteries.

I called MS about it, and they told me to buy a new one.
