Do any of you list your DVDs on a website like DVDaficionado or DVDspot. I use to do it on aficionado but while back got more than 500 dvds and that is max unless you want to pay to upgrade. Not sure if that is still the case or anything. Just was checking out DVDSpot right now and looks pretty good. Was wondering if there are any others you recommend. I plan to spend my Saturday morning listing all my dvds/organizing them and such cause I've been meaning to do that for like 2 years. So any suggestions for sites would be appreciated. Also pros and cons of the sites and yada yada yada.
How many DVDs do you have? Also, how many of them are pornos?

always felt porn you could just download for free, while i realize can do same with movies but i like official movies and that. but not sure, this weekend plan to find out. One of reasons I'm doing this is to find out how many I actually got. I'm thinking around 750 mark. Really wish I didn't buy them all now though. Money I spent on dvds is stupid, would have rather invested it now but it is to late. Cut down on my dvd buying a lot past year or two. Got netflix now, so just rent whatever i want to watch instead of buying it.
Yeah, if you look at all the things you have in your room you kind of think to yourself and say "Damn, all the money I used to buy this stuff I could have saved it or bought something better." I watch the movies first and if I really, really like it I will buy the DVD.

I'm using DVDaficionado, I don't have much time to buy all the movies I want since there are quite a few, all $80.00+ CDN.

I used to use DVDAF but ever since they revamped the site I hated it. Switched to DVDSpot and so far so good. I wish you could divide your list into catorgories like with DVDAF (if you can I have yet to figure it out) but other than that, I am very pleased.

I think I'll switch now, I too don't like there new layout.
I just use Movie Collector to keep track and it has a couple of different options for exporting your lists (Text, HTML, XML, iPod Notes, palm).
I use to use web sites but I like this much better.

why would you post your DVD titles on a web site? I don't get the purpose of that unless you were trying to sell them.

maybe RateYourMusic.com really havent checked for DVDs but you can rank millions of albums n add em to your collection i'd assume same for DVDs is they are listed

Few reasons. One I'm at school, so easier to remember what I got back home looking at list. Also keeps things nice and organized, and like friends sometimes borrow movies from me so could just show them list. Plus where I keep some of my dvds it can be awkward to sit and look through them all. Like having to squint over my bed, couches etc. Just to have a nice list can look at any time. Also sometimes I may want to buy a movie and not sure if I own it already or not. I mean having it listed online isn't that important, but just something I choose to do with so many dvds.

I get that part, but I don't understand why you'd post it on someone's site when you could do it easy with a simple Excel or similar program.

Not really someone's site. I mean it's would be my own list. Plus easy to keep track of exactly what dvds I have. Don't have to install programs, move saved excel files from place to place either. Also they list info for each dvd from showing the DVD case to general helpful info. And can organize things on there easily, rate shit, lot of little extra features.
Dude, when you have so many dvds that you don't know what you have, you need to stop buying!

I have stopped, well slowed down a lot. But stopped way to late.

Finally finished it all. I have way to many. A few weren't on the site but no more than 20 which were fairly obscure. You can check out my shit here if you want http://www.dvdspot.com/member=Wazy121

I quite like DVDspot myself. The "more statistics" feature is fun to look at, here is mine http://www.dvdspot.com/frontpage.php?member=mitch_h
