I need to edit a reel for myself does anyone know any good free software (or available off of torrent) for windows? I don't need anything really fancy.

Adobe Premiere is pretty good, and quite easy to use. There's always Windows Movie Maker too. But I take it that you're looking for an alternative to that.

Dude, Adobe Premiere, buying it outright, is a near $500 setback, and it's inferior anymore to Sony Vegas. Elements is more of a good price range, as is Vegas Movie Maker 8 (each of them are 50-100).

He's talking about free ones, though. WM Maker is good, and there is something else that is more advanced that Microsoft put out that is free (though I have now forgotten the name of it. I think it's WM Encoder).

Never try to correct DS on anything computer related, you r-tard. If he posts something about software, hardware, etc.. he posted it for a reason - Because it's the right answer to the question.

Premiere doesn't cost money on torrents.

Like I said, buying it outright (without said torrents, which didn't really work for me anyway) is $500 bucks (and Adobe are becoming like MS anymore in making sure you PAID for your shit. I just stay away from them now). I got one of those emails saying that someone contacted my ISP about an Adobe Photoshop program I had, so I didn't suggest it because Adobe are full of greedy pricks.

I'd go for Vegas instead, personally. I got that one for free (though I can't seem to get 7.0e to work in Vista, or at least on my Vista comp).

Shut the hell up. He ASKED for torrents you idiot. He didn't ask what the price was, because he didn't plan on purchasing them. He asked for -free-, or -torrents-.
