I'm glad Bret Hart isnt wrestling anymore. Why? cus it would kill me to see him jobbing to CENA. :nono:

Imagine:

JR: Bwah Gawwd! Bret has the sharpshooter on the Champ..

King: Its over, no survives this move..even stone cold passed out..

JR: king you gotta believe Cena is gonna reach deep inside and overcome the odds..

Cena "powers" out of the sharpshooter then lands an FU.

1..2...3.

JR: Cena has done it King (voice gone all fucked from the screaming) bwah gaawwd Cena has overcome the odds.

Nah man, Bret wouldnt wrestle Cena. He'd have a stipulation on his contract that states he'll only wrestle guys worthy of being in the ring with his immense greatness. Meaning the list wil be very short, but it at least excludes the chump.

He'd probably job to Khali.

By the way, I like Bret and all, but anyone who thinks he should be wrestling today even if he didn't suffer a stroke is a fucking moron anyway. Bret should have, hypothetically speaking, passed the torch years ago. He's an old man. He's not Flair (When 900 years old you are, chop this good you will not...WOOOOOO), but he's too old to be wrestling. Fact is, we have a lot of guys too old to be wrestling, and that's part of what's dragging WWE down. Batista, Taker, even Benoit was 40 and broken down. Smackdown's only had a couple of champs of late who weren't at the end of their careers, and Raw's only better off because their superman babyface isn't going to die in the next 5 years if he doesn't retire. Why add Bret Hart to the mix?

Personally I think Bret would have retired maybe in about 2004 or so. He never seemed like the guy that would keep going on and on, not knowing when to stop. Even if were healthy at the time, I think he would have stopped.
He seems to care alot more about his quality of work then most when thinking about working matches. Sure he'd probably still be one of the very best, but it wouldnt be up to Brets standards for himself perhaps, and that's when he'd quit.

He mentioned he that he was starting to enjoy WCW when he got his career ending injury from Goldberg. He also said it was a shame that a good and big hearted person like Goldberg did it.

He'd only be 10 years into a 20 year contract right now. :shifty:

Had Montreal or the kick not have happened Id say either Bret would be a part-time wrestler right now or a GM on a brand.

Kane Knight

Had Montreal happened but not the stroke and concussions, he'd go to TNA and be used properly.

Assuming Montreal wouldn't have happened (and Bret stayed in the WWE), I'm not sure if Bret would've been happy anyways.

Bret's role as a TOP main-eventer (in the WWE) was pretty much done in my opinion. I think Bret would have been pretty much what Chris Benoit was (and at best, what Kurt Angle or Undertaker was).

Bret would have been used to put over the top main-eventers. Maybe Bret would get ONE more title run (like Benoit), but that's about it. Bret (maybe like Undertaker) would win most of his matches in great wrestling matches, but would never be THE guy.

With younger guys like Austin, The Rock, etc., all up-and-coming, it wouldn't have been in the WWE's best interests to have Bret be the top guy. Perhaps one can even say that Bret was destined to leave the WWE in one way or another.

Wrestling would be totally different if never left WWE. There is no telling what could have happend.

However, without that catylist, we likely never would have seen the Attitude Era in full swing.

but its all over. wrestling is fucked and the glory days are gone. The only person that will make me watch wresling every week is the Rock..let just wait til he realises his movie career tanked.

That TNA pushes those people that get "bad breaks" in the WWE to the title way too early? Yeah, I got that. I would've built Christian up a little more before giving him the title.

There will never be comuppance. Vince and Shawn got away with it, and no matter how much you like Bret, it'll continue to happen.

Well Bret did manage to shatter Vince's macho ego, while at the same time shattering his face with a solid fist, so that was worth something.

Well seeing as Rock is doing as good in hollywood right now as Vin Desiel, I'm fairly certain his career will be going find for awhile. However, I see potential in people like Kennedy, Carlito, Morrison. Hell, as bad of a show as Raw was last monday, my favorite part of the whole deal was Kennedy and Carlito argueing with each other...until Cena started getting whiny on the outside (was it just me, or did he seem legitimately pissed...like they were stealing his light or something...then making matches like he was in charge).

Vince is a Billionaire who managed to draw out his humiliation of BRet on TV.

Bret is a broken down cripple who will die if he does what he loves ever again.

Yeah, I can see how Bret's the winner.

Bret has a hot wife. Vince doesnt.

Bret has millions himself, billions arent needed. Money doesnt buy happiness and if it does, Bret surely has enough of that.

Bret has a legacy he can be proud of. Vince doesnt.

Bret shattered Vince's face. Vince wishes he could do the same, but even a crippled Hart could kill him. This no doubt eats away at Vinnie mac.

Bret got the last word, spitting in a guys face and then knocking him out? lol, Vince probably shat himself in his office before Taker told him to get what he deserved.

Thus, his ego was bruised too.

He can wallow in his money, that's about all he has left to him.

Vince nails hot chicks, evidently. Who cares about his wife?

Vince still wins on Money. Being a cripple equates to happiness, I guess.

Even if Vince tanks Raw TOMORROW, he'll be remembered as the guy who brought us Austin and the Rock. BRet will be remembered by...

Vince's face was never shattered. Canadians hit like girls. Vince still got the better "revenge" out of it The pen is mightier than the sword.

Vince got the last word in, shitting on him and even dragging it up years later in front of members of the Hart family.

Yeah.

shattered? he barely had a bruise on his face

vince is 60 something and looks good as ever...Bret Hart looks like hes about to keel over any second....

Vince will still be remembered for Wrestlemania through the Attitude Era through purchasing WCW to wrestling Donald Trump. People outside of wrestling know who Vince McMahon is...not many people know or give a rats ass who Bret Hart is.

Bret pretty much has Montreal....he couldnt stop talking about it for years and now thats what he is left with as a legacy
