SO I wake up this morning to King Bookahhhhhh!

I usually wake up to the radio which I have set to 98.9 the Rock to wake me up. And as soon as it come on I hit snooze. I was going to do the same thing today when I hear that they are about to have King Booker, they do a little intro to his charater over the years starting way back in 1990. They then have him on the phone and start in with a fairly kayfabe interview, Booker wasn't completely in character, sounded a bit tired. After a couple of minutes of arguing with Tard (on the morning show personalities) Johnny Dare the host of the local morning show tries to steer the conversation away from just Summerslam hype. He says he wants to talk about a list of topics include Rey Mystero coming back, something I can't remember, and Benoit. As soon as he said Benoit the phone hung up. That was pretty classic.

I merely "liked" Booker T before The King gimmick. I thought he was allright.

But since he became King Booker, I have become a huge fan of Booker.

Booker also said that he will never wrestle under Booker T again as he feels the King Booker name has really taken off and helped him get to the top.

He was awesomeness until the King gimmick hit. It completely degraded him and turned him into a novelty gimmick the likes of Doink, The Goon, Duke Drose, etc as far as I'm concerned, just at a higher position in the cards.

I have to disagree, I found Booker T to be a little dull before, good in the ring, but his character just didn't have anything to it. Nothing separated him from anyone else to me character wise.

This King Booker gimmick has given him a whole new freshness to his character. I wouldn't particularly like it if he reverted back to Booker T, the King has quickly become one of my favorite gimmicks/characters in recent years :y:

I think the King Booker gimmick works. The best parts are when he gets pissed and drops the Kingly accent and goes back to old Booker. I think that's something that should be integrated, so he can play the inconsistency to comedy.

But seriously... Sharmell makes me want to claw my ears off.

To be honest, I haven't enjoyed a Booker match in a long, long, long time.

Whether he has a 'T' on the end of his name or a 'King' at the beginning, Booker still looks like he phones in his matches.
