Best - I'd have to say Auf Der Maur, though she did annoy me at times.
Worst - Most of the support acts I have seen have been piss poor, but the Worst Support Act Award has to go to Cave In. Some of the most overrated, piss twaddle, dull, crud-munched stuff I have ever heard. After 45 minutes of suffering their tripe, I was ready to throw myself off the balcony (but sadly for most of you, I did not). I'd have to say they spolit my evening, but the Foo's kinda made up for it, that, and after Cave In had left, Sabbath and Judas Priest were played over the PA to help us recover.

You die now.
Worst were easily Sugarcoma... utter garbage, and trust me, they're not going to be dethroned from this position anytime soon.
Best... hmm, tough one, but it'd probably go to Cult Of Luna, who were immense.

Best - Bigwig supporting No Use For A Name
Worst - Planes Mistaken For Stars supporting the Ataris. I know a lot of people like them but they didn't suit the gig at all and they really weren't my thing.

Best - Cyprus Hill/Xzibit supporting Eminem in June 2003
Worst - Live, who were supporting Bon Jovi in June 2003, they sucked big time.

Can't think of a best one.
The worst was some band called The Planets who supported Deep Purple, they were poor anyway but to put what was more-or-less an orchestra on before a Rock band was pretty stupid booking.:|

The best support group I saw has to be a tie between High on Fire and Isis.
Both were amazing when I saw them (at different times) opening up for the Melvins.
The worst would have to be The Dwarves when I saw them open up for Motorhead. Honestly, how many times can you scream and repeat "yyyyyyeahhhhhhhhhhhhh, fuuuuuuuuuuuck yeahhhhh, yeahhhhhhhhhh"
I wanted to rip my ears off during their set. I'd rather see Melt Banana.

They were awesome.
I must say though, I was disappointed in their set when they opened up for Motorhead. They played about 5 songs and were the first band. They were good but the set was wayyyy too short. They were the first band on the bill, they were before the DWARVES.
I wanted to shoot somebody

But yes, Three Inches of Blood, much better, if you ignore the fact they seem like they're taking the piss.
