View Full Version : Blues
My Blues are so sucking right now. I wish they would have fired the GM instead of the coach though. Coach Q should have had at least until the end of the season to see what they could pull off. The GM is the one that does not make good moves and pays these guys too much when they are not performing the way they should. Almost ashamed to be a Blues fan.

Well I think what Pleau was doing was telling the players that if the coach was the problem, then you better start playing well now like the Nets did with Byron Scott in the NBA.
They better make the playoffs or I'll have no one left to root for :(
But the Coach was not the problem Pleau is the problem. Plus he gave the assistant coach the job and a two year contract when Kitchen has not been a head coach before. Why is the owner not stepping in here and seeing where the problem lays?
I think they will make the playoffs. Barely but the streak will continue.

Its as much the players as it is anyone else
MacInnis, Demitra, Boguniecki, Jackman have all been injured and Osgood is starting to unravel
Injuries have been a problem but that is mostly on defense. Our offense should be scoring goals and they are not doing it. They have not scored a goal in like 7 periods straight now.
Osgood is just not the star he used to be and Johnson is too streaky to be a good back up or starter. They really should have traded for Joseph or someone at some point when they decided to send Johnson down to the minors.

The Blues remind me of the Lions; they're one of those teams that are the man, but are so ****ing stupid sometimes
Also, I thought they waived B. Johnson?

earlier in the season, the blues were one of the teams i feared due to physical way they've played the canucks in the past. huge payroll for a non-playoff team, wonder if they'll move some players or try to salvage the season. also what are the grumblings i hear about pronger, is there locker room problems?

They had to put him on waivers to send him to the minors. He cleared waivers like Joseph did a couple times.

I think some changes will be made in the offseason ala the Cards to deal with the dissappointment of the season. I have not heard anything about Pronger or locker room problems though. Right now the players are pissed that Coach Q is gone.

who cares he sucks last I saw he was playing for the big club... we usually scratch him here cause the coach doesn't like him... they've been trying to trade him forever... they should just throw him on waivers.

That's what happened in the 1st round series with the Wings and Ducks last year. The wings (my team) couldn't get off the ground because they only scored 7 goals in 4 games. On the other hand Cujo had like a 1.79 GAA and people were pissing and moaning. If the coach can't get say the motivation that will get his players moving in the right direction, he needs to be fired. That's what seperates the Wings from the Blues (Lewis to Coach Q as MRT called him) Trust me, the Blues are better off but will definitely not make the playoffs this year.

We need a slap smilie over here. Because I would have just posted that. Just because I gave up on my Blues does not mean you can laugh at them.

Shit, 23 straight years is pretty impressive
Longest streak in pro sports in North America. And it is so coming to an end though.
Fire Pleau already. He gave up a potentionally good goaltender if he gets past being streaky for someone that has liek 6 goals and not many more assists or something like that. If you are going to try to trade for some fire power to help the offense try to get Stillman back or some other better name than Sillenger.

LOL, he's trying to let his team know he hasn't given up on them. shoulda done that by keeping Q. I see they scored a goal last night  ....
I am still pissed over Coach Q. He is going to be doing some work up in Canada I believe doing some broadcasting. Said he is not looking for a new coaching job until this summer. Rumors were that the Avs wanted him but no one can even talk to him without it being okay by the Blues because he is still technically under contract.
