I read lots of people here make negative talk about WWE but I bet that most people would still like to go to the shows. If you post about it then I think you still like it.

If the date is available or I can make it available, I'll usually go. There's something about a live show that seems so much cooler.

I use to go to every single WWF and WCW event in my state, but since about 2003 I just stopped going to live events. I will probably never go to another house show again, and have no real interest in going to any TV tapings. I guess if there is a PPV or something I might go...but I'm more into going to MMA events right now.

I have very fond memories of live events. Once, I touched Owen Hart's arm and he pointed right in my face and said "DON'T TOUCH ME, I'M A KING!"

Another time at a WCW house show, Chris Benoit was wrestling Billy Kidman. Kidman always used to flip out of powerbombs and turn them into facebusters and I was in the second row, so the entire match I kept yelling "DON'T POWERBOMB KIDMAN!" over and over. Eventually, he set Kidman up for a powerbomb and looked DIRECTLY at me as I screamed "NOOOOOO!"...but Kidman didn't flip out. I know that spot was for me, and it was awesome.

To try and pad this thread a bit, share some good live experiences you've had.

I haven't been to a WWE show in... Almost 2 or 3 years. That was the last Survivor Series ppv in Detroit. Before that, not sure.

Yes, only because I get free tickets.

I used to go to most shows at the Garden. Now I go to only PPVs and a very occasional TV taping only if it's at the Garden or Continental Airlines Arena. For PPVs I've gone to the Garden, CAA, Nassau Coliseum, and the Wachovia center.

I love being situated in Central Jersey because I'm within a 2 hour drive of 4+ big arenas, plus a shitload of indies. I've never gotten around to it but I plan to start going to some independents around here sooner or later. I live very close to where ROH runs their shows.

I go to a bunch of HWA shows as well. I'm actually pretty tight with a lot of the roster.

I used to drive for like 3 hours in any direction to get to a live show. House Shwo, TV Taping, didn't matter. I still know some of the indy guys around here, to boot.

Basically? When the wrestling is good, I go and see a lot of it live. I mean, I've been to house shows where the biggest name there was "The Big Show" And it's been fun.

When the wrestling is bad, I don't watch, I don't buy.

Of course I'd go.

Oh I still go see Indy stuff every now and again. Especially when I'm back in Colorado. I'm actually still pretty tight with a lot of the CO indie scene. But as far as WWE, I go out of my way to make sure that WWE hasn't received a dime from me in quite some time.

I won't go to house shows anymore. The last one I went to was 2 years ago and it was ok at best. The only highlight was seeing Trevor Murdoch before he was on tv (he did some great heel work). Jericho was there, but wrestled Snitsky. Angle was there too wrestling Eugene, but there was nothing special about either match (No offense to Angle and Jericho, but even they couldn't save the house show).

I went to one 5 years ago and it was actually great. It was when Smackdown was actually really good. The Unamericans were there and obviously got a lot of cheers. The main event was Angle vs Edge and it was a great match with a lot of false finishes (the crowd was so hot for that match). Usually there are some throw away matches, but every match on the card was actually good and most wrestlers played to the crowd. Billy and Chuck got a lot of "FAGGOT" and "Billy Swallows *clap clap clapclapclap* Chucky Spits" chants. They both played the crowd so much. At that point Val Venis was hailing from Las Vegas and the crowd chanted "traaaaaader".

I've been to a few more in between those two.

I had front row seats to a house show in 1998. It was really awesome getting so see the top stars at that time that close.

I will go to Raw or Smackdown, but that's it. We barely even get indie shows here (it sucks).

It depends. I try to go to every set of tapings that are close to me, which is kind've easy since I live in a central location of a lot of frequent stops (Columbus, Dayton, Cincy, Indy, Ft. Wayne). However, lately I've been on a money crunch so I've missed the tapings in Columbus and Cincy and I'll probably miss the tapings in Indy in a couple of weeks.

I always get tickets to either a Raw or Smackdown/ECW taping whenever they come over here.

I've gone to pretty much all the Detroit shows since late '02 including Wrestlemania this year. Live events are always fun for me, and even if the show isn't that great, stuff always happens during the live show which makes it fun. Even though I haven't gotten tickets yet, I probably will for the next SmackDown/ECW on October 9.

There hasn't been a Raw or Smackdown here since early 2002. The last Raw we got was in Fall 2001. Boo.

Where do you live? I'm in Cincinnati. We've probably been at some of the same shows.

WWE has only come to New Zealand on 2 tours, last year and this year, smackdown house shows both times. A show in Auckland each year, and the other show was in Wellington the first year, and Christchurch the second. I've been to both non Auckland Shows. Got to see few wrestlers I've wanted to see. And some good matches. Might go again if they come back to Wellington if they have a decent roster.

LoL @ a triple threat finish in a DQ. Also:

That is awesome.

Only ever bothered with the one WWE show in mid-2004 'cause it was a free ticket and it was fun. Should go more often. I guess my highlight would be marking out for IC champ Randy Orton and all the kiddies looking at me like I'd just pissed on their mothers.

I haven't been in ages. Doesn't help I moved to a smaller, out of the way city, but they've been here a couple times but I never bothered going. Too bad, cause when I think of it, I wish I had. Hopefully they swing through here again so I can disappoint myself by not going but wishing I had.

I havent been in several years. I have been to WM8 and several RAWS in the Cincy/Ky area. My 3 fav live event shows I went to was WM 8, the RAW after SS 98 where there was a Austin/Rock match that the crowd was into big time, and getting front row to a Superstars taping in Oct 96 that featured the breakup of the Smoking Gunns and Austins infamous attack with the cane and chair on pillman. the great part is a piece of the cane flew when Austin hit it (you can see it flying when they show it on the Pillman DVD) and it flew into my cousin and Is lap. We split the cane in half and I have it to this day.

What I hated about house shows was in 98 when every other RAW was taped I would not look at spoilers at all so I could watch it like it was live. Well one week a HHH/D-Lo Euro Title match was advristised on RAW as well as a Rock/X-Pac I-C title match. I went to a house show the weekend before and D-Lo was the Euro Champ. So I knew that D-Lo would win the title on the next RAW. Plus the X-Pac/Rock match was back and forth but I knew the Rock would retain somehow.

Dude, that's CRAZY. I was in the front row for that show too!

I remember during the first match (Smoking Gunns vs. New Rockers), these guys behind me yelled out "HEY BILLY, YOU SUCK!" and he turned around and said "You shut your mouth!". Then when he came out again later and wrestled solo, the same guys yelled "HEY BILLY, YOU STILL SUCK!". It was hilarious to me at the time.

I think there was also a Shawn Michaels v. Salvatore Sincere match that night.

Yup there was. The ME was a dark match between champ vs champ HBK vs HHH. What I feel is so crazy was how big wrestling got again. The taping was in Oct 96 when the WWF was behind WCW in the ratings and the TV taping in Cincy barely had half of Xaviers gym filled. However just a yr and a half later in the summer of 98 the WWF completly sold out Rupp Arena in Lexington with 24,000 for a house show.

No. Honestly, the only money I have ever given to WWE has been 1/5th of the price of a PPV on 2 occasions.

I have been to so many shows.... Some of my favorite memories are IYH Final Four, just a really good show. It was great to see Vader, Bret, Undertaker, and Austin in a great match. I saw Farooq vs Undertaker in a cage and that was really good...

One of my favorite shows was a Nitro, it was The Giants last match in WCW vs Kevin Nash. It also had DDP vs Scott Steiner and Ric Flair vs Curt Henning.

OH shit actually I went to a house show a few years ago in Chattanooga and it was a Raw show. Paul Burchill and Regal vs Scotty 2 Hotty and Funaki. I was with a bunch of friends and we totally made the match. We started chanting "You are gay" to Scotty 2 Hotty but Regal and Burchill reacted to it, so we played kayfabe and went with them. And they made the whole match that they were gay with each other. It was so funny, we got the whole arena to chant "You are gay" for like 20 minutes. They did so many gay spots, it was so fucking hilarious. Man for sure my best live experience.
