Given all that has happened to the wrestling industry over recent months, WWE is trying to do something about it. WWE is now reaching out to any performer that at, one time or another was under contract with the company. If they are currently suffering from a substance abuse problem the company is offering to pay for their rehabilitation treatment.

One case that may have caused WWE to take this approach is the death of “Sensational” Sherri Martel. Martel had just completed a stint in rehab for a painkiller addiction; however, she still needed back surgery but could not afford it. WWE hopes to change cases like this and potentially save some lives.

Good for PR. Wonder how it will actually work.

I remember the WWE did this with Sean 'X-Pac' Waltman a couple of years ago, even though Waltman was not an active member of the roster.

Actually, the way I read that at the time, that was more Vince McMahon and Triple H paying for it out of their own pockets.

They'll call a hotline, and recieve a voucher good for a lifetime supply of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis sessions, with the cash bar downstairs paid in full each session by Vince McMahon himself, since they will be on 24 hour suicide watch and thus unable to leave the premises. Specialties will include, crack, marijuana, heroin, human growth hormone, blood, sweat, tears, and rope salad with diced body parts.:shifty:

If you are a current WWE Superstar, press one.

If you are a former WWE Superstar, press two.

You have pressed two.

If you have ever headlined a WrestleMania, press one.

If not, please hang up and dial again.

If you have ever lost to John Cena, hang up now, there's no hope for you, buddy.

And if you're dead, HOW THE F*CK DID YOU GET THIS NUMBER ANYWAY?! AND WHAT'RE YOU TRYIN' TO PULL?

That raises a good question: How many people has jobbing turned to hard drugs? If I had to make Cena look good, I might whip out the Heroin like CM Punk.

I think that was less of something "WWE did for X-Pac" and more of something that "HHH did for his buddy."
