What if Jeff Hardy was in/part of the main event at Wrestlemania XXIV?

I knowI know, his mic skills may need some work or w/e, but the guy is WAY over. It would make for a great story behind the match; had one chance against taker, but failed to capitalize. His lengthy absence, always risking his career for the fans and the industry, and the fans relate to him heavy. Im not saying he needs a long run, but could have that 'Benoit' feeling (please with the murder jokes, so fucking old). Of course it would probably be a ladder match or whatnot (preferably against Edge, would really have a story behind it). Like he finally made it. I just dont want to see Cena win/retain the title at Mania, it just wouldn't mean anything to anyone. lol that sounded fucked up.

Like i said, he could lose the title a little soon after if he won it but come on, the last couple of WMs have come u short of being 'one for the ages'. I agree that he seems to be unreliable, but like Vegas said, he is WAY over. With that being said, if they were to put him in the main event of WrestleMania, I'd think it would have to be the secondary title match on the show and would be what Vegas said: a TLC/ladder match against (someone like) Edge.

I think with enough build, it could be a great match of course, but realistically, I view Jeff Hardy as the staple of Money in the Bank year after year after year.

But realistically, if they did throw him in the main event of Mainia, they'd probably assign someone like HHH to haul his ass around up till Mainia. And if they were going to put him over and put the strap on him(which even I think they shouldn't)double that with HBK and Matt Hardy just to make sure he made it.

I like Jeff, but he's mid card for life. Maybe he'd have a shot at the ECW title, but that doesn't really mean much. Better off just having IC title runs. Matt on the other hand, now he's another story...

I can see Matt doing it before Jeff. The only way I could really see Jeff doing it is IF Matt did it, and they run some sort of jealous brother angle (Bret/Owen type thing) and Jeff gets himself put into the main event somehow. Unfortunately, there's no believable opponent for either of them in the main event scene IMO. One of the Hardy's Vs Batista/Cena/Khali, etc, doen't strike my interest.

They had a prime chance to have Edge drop the World Title to Matt, but they felt Khali would be a better champion so they screwed that.

No way in hell was Matt ready then. Given the circumstances, Khali wasn't a horrible choice. Mainly because he was built up well, and was feuding for the belt on the "A" show.

If Jeff went against Randy Orton (switched his chinlock style), Edge, Cena (heel), Hbk, Matt, or HHH for the title in a tlc match. i'd pay. I'd be one of those matches, if built up right with good spots, could be a classic.

With Jeff, about the only kind of match I can see him doing well is TLC. Consitantly, anyway.

I think I'd pay to see most of those variations. Which I can say of VERY few matches these days, anyway. So that's saying something.

- John Cena defended his WWE Title in the main event last night against Jeff Hardy in Champaign, IL at the RAW live show. Hardy won a 15 man Battle Royal at the beginning of the show for the right to face Cena. Also, I believe REDRUM (Johnny Stambolli) worked a match against Val Venis and lost.
