OK I've been going along this season, telling everyone to give Houllier a chance and that we'd turn it around in no time. But after the result today, what the hell is going on. OK there was no Owen, Carragher or Baros. But from what I heard Gerrard was the only decent player.
Something has to change, I know that the transfer window opens soon. I suggest buying a new striker because as soon as Owwn goes out we haven't got a proven goalscorer. Also I think it's about time we bye a new defender, we'ver missed out on Boumsong, but we need one soon to shore up the defence. The problem is getting players because who would want to come to Anfield at the moment.
Plus I think it's about time that Houllier went for a long holiday.

State of Liverpool? Well they are in a right state if that means anything. Too busy laughing at them to care though.

I know what you mean, teams used to be scared about coming to Anfield but in the last one and a half weeks we've lost to Bolton and Southampton at home. Fair play to Bolton today though.

I'm just so pissed off because basically there is fu</>ck all the fans can do about it. Houllier doesn't have a clue about tactics or picking a decent 11. Jon Ostemobor is playing for christs sake. Biscan? Smicer? Traore? Diouf? Diao? Heskey? To name a few. Absolutely useless. They are a disgrace to the club, and Houllier is the guy who continues to play them. How much longer can the board sit there and keep him in the job in good conscience. The Liverpool fans are constantly reduced to silence during home games. I don't think many people can deny Liverpool have one of the best sets of fans in the premiership, if not the world, and when they are silent, you know something is wrong.

Liverpool either need someone who loves Liverpool, or someone who is gonna try something new, different and inspirational. Houllier's day has come, and you know something that really bugs me.... the guy barely looks bothered. He looks ill, but he doesn't look like he gives 2 sh</>its about Liverpool, this has got to change, and it has to change now, before its too late.

In January, we have to make a move for a manager, and new players. We've already missed out on Boumsong, we can't afford to miss out on others. O'Neill has got to be tempted to Merseyside, or we have to go after Keegan. We need depth. We need someone as back up for Riise on the left, we need another centre-back to cover for Hyppia and Henchoz. Traore and Biscan are not the answer. Phillipe Mexes would be a great addition. We are ok on the right, as both Finnan and Carragher will be available in January. In the midfield, we need some width on the Right. Yes, Murphy is a good player, but he doesn't give us any width. The less said about Diouf the better. Even if we don't get width, bring in some more depth in the midfield, Michael Brown or Michael Tonge would be excellent additions. Then we need someone up front alongside Owen. We need a big tall striker, we need Djibril Cisse, or anyone who could fill that role. If we can't get someone big, swipe Jermain Defoe away from Man Utd's grasp. Finally, Liverpool have to break the bank and sign Rivaldo, we need some class, we need someone who can unlock a game, and he is the man. Even if it's until the end of the season.... we need someone.

Rant over.

I agree with what you say but the problem with Rivaldo is that he's past it and we need someone younger, like Okacha. He would be amazing in the side as a playmaker.
I honestly think that we only need one more midfielder, as much as I love Murphy he's not actually in the best of form. The return of Hamman was great timing, hopefully his influence would start to show soon.
We have to restart and give up about this year, as much as it hurts me to say. Get some quality signings in Janurary and by next season they'd have fitted into the side.

Okocha is only about a year younger than Rivaldo max. He might even be older.

Sack the Frenchie. Won't do squat while he is still there.

I was telling someone this the other day.

If Sunderland were 9th/10th in the Premiership with no debt and the type of players that Liverpool have, I'd bite your hand off.

State of Liverpool FC? Not that bad from where I stand.

I know what you mean but we expect us to be challenging for the title. For the last god knows how many seasons at the beginning we start with so much hope but then it all falls apart. Then we're always told next year and we believe them.
Plus when houllier started he said he had five (or six) years to win the premiership. In his own words his time is up.

Mackem: Raise your standards then. Just to be out of relegation and in the EPL would be good enough for a Sunderland fan right :D

Let's face it, the rest of the Premier League are going to be playing for 4th place for the forseeable future.

I guess you just have to admit that Liverpool are not really a big club anymore and not likely to overtake Arsenal, Chelsea or Man Utd, neither is anyone else. Unless they get lucky in the summer and sign a group of good players.

I'd be happy with being in a promotion place and being able to win games after leading 2-0 at half time
