The Shawn Michaels vs. Ric Flair match at the New York City WWE RAW-brand house show last night was said to be a big success. The two were given a full 25 minutes to work, with Flair coming out first and immediately jumping on the microphone to thank the audience for the thunderous ovation they welcomed him with. The match was said to deliver in every aspect, much to the delight of those in Madison Square Garden. HBK got the win after a questionable finish, with a superkick for the 1-2-3.
Lita suffered what appeared to be a very serious injury at the same show during her match with Molly Holly, Trish Stratus, and Jazz. She injured her leg bad enough that the match had to be temporarily stopped so she could be taken away. Molly got the win to retain the Women's gold.
