QUESTION - Where will Jarmoir Jagr get traded to?
With the Rangers starting their 'fire sale' (they just traded Kovalev to the Habs' ), it's almost a given that more players will follow.
My money is on the Red Wings.
Wouldn't mind seeing him in a canucks uniform though. :naughty:

I doubt he'll be traded at all. No one wants his salary

Aren't the Capitals still eating most of it?

20 mill, but he's still owed about 45 over 4 years or something, and I believe it's guarenteed(sp?)

True.
Still - Jagr, when motivated, is arguably the best player in the game. If he goes to a team that has a chance to win the playoffs, you've got to believe that he'll put forth his best effort.

True - but look where he went. Florida. The Panthers were a decent team when Bure was initially traded there, but they met the Devil's in the 1st round that year.
In the year's following, the Panthers were a horrible team. Bure had almost no supporting cast.
When Bure was traded to the Rangers, he was put on a line with Eric Lindros (and recorded 20 points in 12 games if I'm not mistaken).
Can players like Pavel Bure, Jarmoir Jagr, Teemu Selanne, Mark Messier, etc., make average players GREAT around them? No. This is what puts them a level BELOW players such as Peter Forsberg, Wayne Gretzky, and Mario Lemieux.
However - these guys can play SUPERBLY when they have a great supporting cast.
If Jagr plays alongside the likes of Datsyuk, Hull, Yzerman, etc., he could be EXTREMELY deadly.

Selanne played with not a great line his rookie year with the Jets (:'() and he set all kinds of rookie records that year. I think what happend to Bure was that he lost the love of the game which I believe Jagr did when he got traded away from the pens. Although he wassn't trade to a team with heart really going to new york. Either way I don't mind the rangers but they do need to get younger rather then not trade it away.

Didn't he have Zhamnov or Thomas Steen playing with him? My mistake if not.

Now that I think about it - I wouldn't mind seeing the Leafs get Jagr. Ron McLean, Gord Miller, Blob McKenzie, and the other jackasses at TSN than make a big deal about it....and how the Leafs are the odds on favorites to win the Cup. Leafs then get smoked in the 1st round.
That would rule. :)

New York will want too much for Jagr (as they should command) but if Detroit is smart they will trade away Joseph and bring in Jagr. I personally think Legace is ready to lead this team. He has like a great career record, 70-32-17, holy shit. I just now looked at that. He definitely needs to start for the Wings now. I've always been a big fan of Manny but damn.

Jarg is putting up decent #'s in New York. He's doing what he's supposed to do. The problem is the Rangers need defence and goaltending, not more offence. Anyway, maybe they might shock us and trade him to Washington for Anson Carter.
