Another Lance Storm rant. He makes great points, but he's burned a lot of bridges by being honest. Hopefully, he's saved his money.

TNA: Impact September 27, 2007
- God this show sucked!!!!
- Sting vs. Angle for the World Title is the PPV Main Event and we spend the whole show hyping Sting seeking revenge on Judas Masias. No wonder NO ONE buys TNA PPVs!
- Why does the Soleless, Evil Demon creature, Judas Masias wear standard wrestling gear? I guess all demonic beings shop at highspots.com Absolutely assinine, someone should be fired!!!!!!
- Why was there a pink door leaning against the wall back stage? Why would an evil demon beat someone up with a cardboard box and a plastic patio chair? Why would the guy Main Eventing your PPV challenging for the world title sell getting hit by a cardboard box and a plastic patio chair?
- A guy would be hard pressed to book anything that could create less interest in the up coming PPV. That reverse Battle Royal sure as hell isn't drawing a dime.
- I could rant forever, this show was so pointless. Let me end with this, please push Shelley and Sabin next week. We get 100% more Impact next week and they were the only thing on this show I'd like to see more of!!!!!

I haven't read the spoilers... but if Shelley and Sabin did not get revenge on the Dudley's.. that is fucking ridculous.

Storm doesn't even want to travel anymore.
I agree with a lot of the complaints he has about TNA, but I find he's way too hard on them. Maybe he just wants them to succeed. I don't know why he doesn't rant about WWE. There's so much shit he could go on and on for.

He does rant on them, but not as hard. I think the reason why he rants hard on TNA and not the WWE is because TNA can't afford to make stupid mistakes. The WWE is still at the top making millions of dollars, so they can afford to be lazy and lackluster and make mistakes.

I'm shocked Storm didnt mention Wests commentary any.

Lance Storm is never wrong. Never. His problems with Judas Mesias is exactly the same issue I have with The Undertaker currently. I've been against the Mesias character from the start, and with him getting injured, I hope there are plans to change the focus elsewhere.
With Paul Heyman now free, and Kevin Nash & Raven under contract, there is no reason for TNA to not have a better colour commentator than Don West.
The build for Kurt Angle vs. Sting has also been pretty shitty. Instead of making this an icon vs. icon feud, they are turning it into a program similar to Chris Jericho vs. Triple H for WrestleMania X8.

You know, TNA's been the only thing I've found worth watching of late, but I think he could be a lot harder and still be considered "fair."
He does rip on WWE a lot. Maybe not as hard, but I don't know. I usually only read what the fags on here post as they fellate him for being the man. There's been a lot of criticism about WWE.
However, say what you will, WWE's a success. Do you think he could get away with saying that a WWE idea, no matter how bad, wouldn't draw a dime? WWE has stayed on top losing more fans than TNA has to begin with. A lot of his criticisms would fall flat on th bigger company.
Sure, WWE's a joke, but they;re not fighting to be a serious rival or threat. They're the #1 brand of "Sports Entertainment," And they are unchallenged. TNA's trying to challenge them...With THIS?
Assume this were the Monday Night Wars, and WWF came back at WCW with this sort of shit. Now, this is a faulty argument, because it is comparing a battle between two established titans versus TNA/WWE, which is more the clash of an Olympic God and a retarded cripple. But carry the metaphor through.
I watched TNA last night. I kept asking myself how they're passing this shit off as a wrestling product. Maybe I'm numb to it on WWE, but when a legendary tag team like the Dudley Boyz have to work a joke match with jobbers like Dutt and Sharkboy - AND sell their joke spots - it's just sad.
Honestly, the only decent thing out of that episode, as Storm said, was the MCMG match.
Impact is a horrible show. Just awful

you know something, everything Lance said, I seriously said to myself last night. My main gripe was why would you build up Judas as a monster only to have the shit kicked out of him by Sting last night. There went all his mystique and credibility as a monster. Did TNA not see Kane in 1997? That should be the blueprint for all promoters on how to create an evil monster.
So, they buried Judas, they did nothing to build Angle/Sting and I think they put over Abyss to end the show, right?

LOVED this particular theme of Storm's rather than the vanilla one's he had in WWE and WCW.
Lance Storm is never wrong
Untrue. There have been a few times where I've disagreed on Lance's opinions (as any person who can think for themselves would), but for the most part he's pretty on the ball with his complaints and opinions. He's actually has the only online column I really look to read as he seems to give honest answers and doesn't really justify it on sucking up to a company or making himself look cool to fans.
Also as for TNA, he just threw up a new commentary yesterday which I enjoyed. He talks in it about TNA constantly trying to reach a certain goal to get the company noticed in the mainstream, but always failing short (National television, big name stars, 2 hours show). I also like the suggestions he threw down afterwards (expecially throwing 3 creative bookers in a room together who hate each other, and see what they do).

Gotta say though, the first part of his suggestions with Don West and Mike Tenay hit it on the head with me. I know others complain about that commentating team too, but I will say they are the main reason I DON'T tune into TNA every week. Yes, awful storylines and poor booking is part of it too, but listening to them for one hour is the same as hitting myself in the head with a mallet. Mike Tenay was only standable when you had Bobby Henan there to turn straw into gold, and I don't even know who the hell though that Don West should be out there. Did someone think he was Mark Madden or something (which saidly I think I may have been the case).
I would be more willing to tune into the show if you had Jermey Brosh and Mr. Sinister out there doing commentary then the current team (again, not one of the best options, but better than what they got).
I have to ask the question though...is it just me or has TNA done every mistake that WCW did, but condensed it down from 14 years to 5? Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it I guess.

Well, they haven't given their title to a movie star yet...

True, I think Russo learned his lesson on that one. From now on, they will only hold smaller titles, and be dishonored sports stars instead of movie stars.

I swear to God this is true - Vince Russo and Jeff Jarrett have admitted that they did angles in WCW or are doing all the ideas in TNA that Vince McMahon refused to do in the WWF.
Maybe there was a reason McMahon didn't do them.

Hard to believe that after Katie Vick, Hornswaggle, and "Eddie's in Hell," but maybe.
