Talk about catching everyone off guard...10 days. I already splurged on the Discbox set, but I imagine this whole "name your own price" thing will work out quite well for them.

I don't know. Stephen King offered a novella online and let people buy in on the honor system, saying that if people downloaded and didn't pay, he wouldn't continue the installments. Very few paid, and the story went away. What will work out well for them is that fact that it's all online right now, and they have no disc production costs to meet.

I think it's a badass idea..
Unlike Stephen King, who makes all his money off of book and script sales, musical acts make their money off of touring and endorsments, not record sales..
I am just a casuel Radiohead fan so I dunno if I'll get this or not..

I just purchased this for 5 pounds(thought you guys used the metric system). Pretty awesome album so far, I really hope this promotion works out for them.

Really haunting sound. Going to take a few listens, but I'm definitely a fan.

I think this is easily the most uplifting Radiohead album ever. When I heard Thom Yorke say "I don't want to be your friend, I just want to be your lover", I almost did a double take. Not to mention the last line of the album.

Actually, King does quite a bit of touring even when he's not actively promoting a book. He gets paid to speak, he gets paid to sign autographs, he gets paid to do endorsements....

Pretty good stuff. Haven't really listened to very much Radiohead before this, but I downloaded it and gave it a try and I really like it.

I think I enjoy Kid A as much as OK Computer.

I dunno, it's good. Radiohead always is, but its not on the level of kidA or ok computer. Or even hail to the thief. Still good tho.
