View Full Version : So how far down the rung will Kennedy fall?
Kane Knight

I mean, he sure as fuck made an impact during his return match. But we know that no good deed goes unpunished.
So, how far is he going? Upper Mid-card? Midcard? Undercard? TNA? Vince's pissboy? Wait, reverse those last two. TNA's less prestigious.
How bad is Ken gonna get spanked?

Hopefully not much. I mean, I guess it's probably going to happen, what with this and the steroid thing, but hopefully his talent shines through, and the WWE realises that it's not worth being petty about this. They could make some money in the prospect Mr. Kennedy vs. Bobby Lashley and Mr. Kennedy vs. John Cena matches when both are ready to return.
Part of me sees this being turned into an angle by Kennedy, which speeds up his rise as a heel, but it could very easily lead to him losing a few times to Jeff Hardy for the Intercontinental Championship.

He fell on John Cena awkwardly during a hip toss, and the now the WWE is without their golden boy for 6-8 months, which most agree is a good thing, but the WWE has not prepared for it, even though anything is better than the rut they got into with Cena.

He injured Cena.
Well... we will get the blame mostly.
Vince is prolly pisssssed his cash cow is injured.
Maybe they can push him as the guy who "took out" Lashley and Cena.

lol yea, brag about landing wrong on a hiptoss. This is going to make the WWE either ACTUALLY BOOK LIKE THEY GIVE A DAMN, or give the title/airtime to HHH via '02-'03. The WWE can use this injury to their advantage and dig into their pool of talent. Make some more switches in rosters, but not too much.
(VINCE is sitting in his office, waiting, when Ken Kennedy walks in.)
KENNEDY: Hey, Vince, you wanted to see me?
VINCE: Sit down, Kenneth.
(He sits. Vince SIGHS deeply and looks at him.)
VINCE: You're fired, Kennedy.
KENNEDY: Fired?
VINCE....fired.
KENNEDY: But why?
VINCE: Well, let's see. First you faked that injury RIGHT BEFORE we were going to give you the World Heavyweight Championship, making me and everyone else look like a jackass...
KENNEDY: I didn't fake that injury! Doctor Andrews told me it looked serious...
VINCE: Psh, yeah, okay. That's why you're already back. Because it was so fucking serious.
KENNEDY:....
VINCE: And THEN, on top of that, you go and injure the hottest guy on my roster, John Cena. And listen Ken... my people have reviewed the tapes. It's very clear that you injured John on purpose.
KENNEDY: Vince, no, I would never-
VINCE: SHUT UP!!! What did you think? That you could be the new hottest guy in the office? Huh? That I would give YOU back massages before YOUR matches like I do for Hunter and John? Well you were WRONG-O, Mr. Kennedy.
KENNEDY: Vince, you're making a big mistake-
VINCE: Shane was a mistake. You're just fired. Please leave now, Kennedy.
KENNEDY: But...
VINCE: KENNEDY!
KENNEDY: But Vince, please-
VINCE: KENNEEEDDDYYYY!!!!
(Ken gets up and runs out of the office.)

Think of how many people Mark Henry injured. They kept him around. Hell, Mark Henry injured Dancin' Dave when he was the champion.
Owen Hart almost took out Steve Austin and he was kept on the roster.
I'm sure I can make a nice little list of other wrestlers who injured another wrestler by accident. Albeit all the Anti-Cena Kennedy Fans are planning a parade I'm sure Ken has to feel sorry about what happened.

If you make angles out of a guy that really injures someone, you put it in their (and other people's mind) that injuring someone might get you a boost. They'll never do something like that. Mind you this is pro wrestling.

Is this because Vince is a pedophile? Does he need to sit on the stool while Chris Hansen askes him if he thinks what he is doing is wrong?

Owen, according to many statements by wrestlers out there, was never elevated into the main event when he was going to be after Bret left the company, because Austin remained bitter over the injury.

BTW, now in light of things, Kennedy looks like a huge pussy. Cena's STFU should have had absoulutely no power at all to it because his peck was ripped, and Kennedy tapped immediately when the move was applies. Can't even beat an injured man. For shame Kennedy.

But see, all of the power he had in his right arm, transfered over to his left arm when he got injured. So technically all he lost was an even arm strength distrabution so now his strength is all out of whack which could only mean harm for this entire world.
Cena could've technically went on about his way, but the good in Cena realizes the harm his left arm may cause if his right arm is left untreated.

Cena was the one who botched either a arm drag or a hip-toss, I couldnt tell what it was supposed to be. It was Cena's own fault for using actuall wrestling moves.

Cena just either assumed it was arm-drag and went for a hip toss, or vice versa, cause no one just pulls somethin that easily. Unless they're juiced.

Yeah, it really does look like Cena fucked it up. Which is surprising, because he's not really a BAD wrestler, but accidents do happen.
Accident or not, though, I'm pretty sure Kennedy will get some flak. I doubt he'll REALLY get demoted to TNA.Vince's Pissboy, but.....

I doubt it'll happen, but I'm worried WWE will stick the title on Kennedy this week, have a 3 week reign then get killed by Triple H at Cyber Sunday.
Kennedy needs some clean wins over some established Raw talent and maybe a quick IC title run (let's face it, Jeff doesn't need the title anymore to be over).
Jeritron
10-03-2007, 02:20 PM
Kennedy needs the IC title almost as much as the IC title needs someone like him.
Like KAM says, Jeff hardy is a fine IC champion but it's really not doing anything for him
BigDaddyCool
10-03-2007, 02:29 PM
Jeff is an awful IC champion, because he is never going to go anywhere. Same can be said for Carlito, Shelton Benjiman and Charlie Haas. For whatever reason, Kennedy still looks like he could go up the ladder, and he needs a midlevel title to prove it. Also, the IC title is just being tossed around midcarders for life for now reason right now. It does nothing for the title.
Jeritron
10-03-2007, 02:34 PM
I hate that they dont invest time in these titles. Orton was the last great IC champion.
Lashley and Kennedy are clearly groomed for big things, but they only put the US titl on them as an afterthought and only let them run with it for a matter of weeks each.
IMO, Kennedy should have taken the IC title at Summerslam and should have held it throughout his entire push to the main event and the McMahon angle (if it hadn't been shitcanned)
Everythings fucked. At least they're doing it semi-right with MVP
BigDaddyCool
10-03-2007, 02:41 PM
Totally agree, before MVP, the only worth while US champion was Cena. Those titles should be used as a stepping stone, and occasionally thrown to a guy that won't get hire, but only occasionally and if they earned it.
Tommy Gunn
10-04-2007, 04:29 AM
MVP's US Title reign is perfect so far. In my opinion the WWE have done a fantastic job of booking MVP since he started on Smackdown and his feud with Matt Hardy is my favourite part of Smackdown.
Back to Kennedy, he should have had the US Title run that MVP had, but he didn't need it so much as he had that high profile feud with Taker. Then he won MITB 07. Then he got injured, then got busted for drugs. These two mishaps have unfortunately dropped him down the ladder a bit, so an IC title run would definitely restore some credibility to him.

LOL, why because he's popular with the IWC? Because Orton was (at that time)?
I don't think MVP's US title reign has been anything particularly barnstorming.

Yeah, it looks like Cena fucks up to me. Kennedy should not be blamed for that. Also, I think he is above the Intercontinental Title. That's just my opinion, though. Jeff Hardy does not need to be IC Champ, however. Right now, I'd have to go with either Hardcore Holly or Santino Marella as Intercontinental Champion. Shelton Benjamin is another possibility.

Nah, I was reading it was Kennedy's fault everywhere, but don't see it from the vid that IC put up. I think now though Orton may not get the strap. They may throw it on Jericho straight off (I'm sold on it being him 120%). But I think it'd be stupid considering now that Orton is the #1 heel for killing the golden boy.
