Man there's alot of development guys in there, Ace Steel, Chad Collyer & Mike Tolar.
Not complaining, just an observation, as I'm a big fan of Steel and Chad

Wait, I thought Masters was out for 60 days?
Only reason I'm going to even bother with SmackDown is for Jesus and Fetus.

I'm intrigued by William Regal & Paul Burchill teaming together. I would not be opposed to seeing Burchill get called up to RAW as William Regal's enforcer. Kind of like a less bitchy Tajiri during Regal's run as commissioner.
Also, while we're on the topic of dark matches: Michael Washington Kruel must get called up to the WWE soon. His gimmick is gold. Bring Milena, Vladimir Koslov and Mr. Strongko up with him. "Team America" would kick so much ass. Stick Daivari in there as a manager, maybe?
Some of the matches sound pretty good. It's a shame to hear about Ace Steel jobbing. Hopefully this is a one-off appearance for him, and not how they plan on using him.
I must confess to being interesting in Matt Hardy & MVP vs. The Undertaker & Kane. It's a great way to get everyone on the card. I was kind of hoping that Matt Hardy would win the US Title, and then MVP would walk out on Matt Hardy with the WWE Tag Team Titles on the line, but I guess we are going to get the predictable scenario, with Hard-Ballin' losing to The Brothers of Destruction, and Matt Hardy facing MVP. What could possibly rule is MVP getting himself deliberately disqualified, against Matt Hardy's wishes, and this actually turning into a tag team feud, with Matt Hardy slightly getting more and more cocky as the weeks go on, maybe even bringing back the Matt Facts.

I think the Regal dark match was probably just to keep him wrestling while he's commissioner, and to work with Burchill until he's ready for tv again.
I like the 1st idea of MVP/Hardy(not because it involves BOD winning the tiles, honest :shifty: ) I think working the typical scenario could work fine with these two.

BOD won't win the titles IMO
Taker is gunning for the other title. I go with an MVP DQ job

I was thinking that too, but would it really be a surprise to see Undertaker & Kane win the belts, and then the WWE forget that they exist while Undertaker goes on to face Batista, and Kane kind of disappears again?
Actually, with Edge coming back around Survivor Series, I can see him being the guy to beat Batista (maybe at Armageddon or Survivor Series itself, I wish the latter would just be classic SS matches, though), while The Undertaker uses a WWE Tag Team Title reign to keep him busy. Then he chases Edge heading into WrestleMania.

There’s no way they need the titles, but I will admit this is a good way to get them off MVP and Hardy. But then who in the blue hell gets those belts from Taker and Kane? I mean come on! No teams realistically would or could stand a chance against them

That's true. I'm not saying I'd think it would be a great move, I can just see the WWE doing it. I mean, when Kane & Big Show won the World Tag Team Championship, there was no team that could realistically defeat them. I could see the WWE eventually just doing what they do when they want to get the belts off a monster team...have them get cheated against like hell, and possibly have their singles feuds spread over and have their opponents help a tag team beat them.
Past Taker & Kane, though, there is no one. The question is, though, are Deuce N' Domino a better choice for Champs? Even Paul Burchill and either William Regal or Dave Taylor is going to have some credibility issues with the fans. Either way, the division is stuck in a bit of a rut.

I'm intrigued by William Regal & Paul Burchill teaming together.
Yeah cause that team went over so well the first time.

Exactly, past me being BOD mark, like Noid said, there are no decent teams on SD. They shouldn't even have tag titles. And even if you do give the belts to BOD, its not even a question of who can they drop them to. But just who the hell can you put them against.
The tag titles are in a lose/lose scenario. Keep them on Matt/MVP, and it might stretch this part of the feud too far. Put them on BOD, and you have no decent challengers.

Just watched it, and I think it was a decent episode. Love the MVP-Hardy stuff, it's my favourite feud on television and I'll be sad when it ends, although I think it'll culminate by Cyber Sunday.
Jessie & Festus were good fun and are something different than your regular redneck team. A great mix of speed and agility with brute force and brain damage. ;) With them around, Cade & Murdoch become immediately redundant and twice as shit in comparison.
I hope to god that Bats vs. Khali ends at No Mercy. Get that big useless oaf off of my TV! And get rid of Khali too. :D

What the fuck is Regal doing on SmackDown!, even in a dark match?
And in other notes...
Man, the commentary on SmackDown! was fucking hilarious, especially towards the end. Here are a few key lines from Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield.
Michael Cole was mentioning how "entertaining" Festus probably was in school...and then the graphic comes up for the main event, Khali vs. Rey Mysterio...and Cole says, "But there is nothing entertaining about this!"
JBL during the main event was like, "As much as I despise Rey Mysterio, even I feel sorry for him. Not very much, but..."
And a bit later on in that match, Cole says, "I'm starting to agree with you." JBL's response? "You should. I'm right."

Cole and JBL have brilliant chemistry and I hope they start doing double duty on Raw soon. Or at the very least just let them call every match during a PPV.
JBL was hilarious during the Festus match. Especially when talking about how Festus turns into a maniac when the bell rings. "You can imagine during the school fire drills the amount of kids and teachers who got beat up". Or something like that.
