...finally launches, and you start playing the story or season or whatever, are you the type to just try and rush right through it so you can brag to your friends, or do you just like to take your time and set a more leisurely pace? Or does it just depend on a number of X-Factors, like how long the story/season/mission line is, how you're feeling etc. etc.?
Discuss.

I want to every little thing the game has to offer. So as long as that takes.

I like to go at a slow pace. Backtrack to make sure I get everything. I could care less how long it takes. I just want it long. Not something I can blow through in a few days.

It's usually a slow pace, more so for games that I know is kinda on the short side.

Some games, it depends.
I played Pearl version and Warriors Orochi everytime I had free time.
On the other hand, I played very little of .hack//G.U. or Two Worlds- both games I was flipping shit to get.
I dunno.

I buy too many video games, so it's rare that I actually take the time to actually finish a game before I start another one. I like taking my time though. Plus I have things to do that don't involve playing a game for 10 hours a day.
I picked up Phantom Hourglass the day it came out, but I'm only on the second dungeon.
Recently I did decide to play and finish a game before I really move onto another. I started Metroid Prime Corruption, but picked up Bully and Phantom Hourglass, so I haven't played it in a couple of weeks. I guess I'll start that after I'm done Phantom Hourglass (which could be early next week).

I slay my games.
Guitar hero is mad lasting me, halo 3 is my shooter now although the campaign achievements were very short.
Saints row was extremely long but cool as poo.
