dunno which ppv it was but michaels refused to shake Cena's hand at the end of the match. Was that part of the show or was Michaels really pissed?
I seem to remember Michaels losing it for a moment in the match and screamign at Cena. Can anyone give the story of what happened and the aftermath, if any ?

I think it was Wrestlemania. It was real because he was disgruntled over the fact that Cena didnt sell any of HBK's moves.
No it wasn't Crossrine. It was part of the story that Shawn didn't think Cena was the better man. It's why they did the thing in-ring at Backlash as well.

Really? I thought he was planned to shake his hand but like snubbed him. Thanks for the correction I guess
Nah, that story was made up by some internet fan and credited to Meltzer saying it on the LAW, which he didn't say.

I would've snubbed him by breaking my hand on his face. Cena ruined that match pretty boldly.

so wtf, was it real or not?
It was supposed to happen to push the angle that Michaels thought he was better than Cena but couldn't win the belt, which led to him pinning Cena non-title and then the finish of Backlash, when Michaels again screamed at him. All storyline, Michaels was thrilled with the Mania match.

Michaels established alot of psychology in that match, which Cena broke when he "hulked-up" with that running clothesline. It was such bullshit. You don't sell the leg for 10 minutes and then just jump out of it. The point of pro-wrestling is not to make it look as fake as it really is. Jesus.
Nor is the point to make it look as real as possible. The legwork wasn't important to the finishing sequence of the match, and he didn't just jump out of it like it was no big deal and never acknowledge it ever again. Saying it ruined the match is completely absurd when the crowd was going fucking insane for the entire length of the match following this thing that supposedly ruined it. And why does the "gotta be real" aspect of wrestling have to be so rigid. If Ali/Frazier were a work and Ali did the rope-a-dope, took every punch the entire match then won with three punches like he did, "smart" fans would piss and moan about how fake it is. Problem is, that was real - and the masses care about the story, not reality, and judging from how great the match was after that and how the audience was into every single twist and turn, it's ridiculous to think that meant anything.

Someone even said that Michaels said something like, "Come on, let's get this shit show on. I've got to job to you, Cena.", when in reality he was just saying something about getting the show on the road, then said, "I've got a job TO DO, Cena.", and you can tell if you rewatch the beginning of the match. People were just looking for anything they could find to claim Shawn was "shooting" on Cena.
Exactly. And that was in reference to the fat guy that ran in the ring too, not even about anything Cena did.

Precisely.
Either way, Cena did do a shitty ass job of selling the leg for the end of that match. Maybe I'm just too analytical of matches, but I noticed it and it really bothered me.

Cena sucks. Does anyone really need justification for that claim? Srsly.

In hindsight it seems that people were angry at Cena for being involved in a match that was as good as it was.
I think the only fact here is that it was never proven. It could have been storyline, it may have not been, but I don't recall it offically being reveled.
There was never anything even remotely showing it as being real, the only thing saying otherwise was a NEWZ SITE~! report that Meltzer said it on the LAW, which he didn't.
