Really can't blame the WWE for that, though.

the word 'anybody' seems to be a common word among thread titles these days

I was just noticing the same thing.

I honestly did not even watch for Jericho...if he showed up then it was a plus...I was just hoping for Orton to walk away with the belt....
Didnt even buy it anyways...went to Buffalo Wild Wings like I do every ppv.

I was one of the poor fools that paid in anticipation to see Jericho... rofl
First PPV I've bought in YEARS, and I mean from way back in 1999.
I got owned. But either way, the Last Man Standing match was pretty good.

I wasn't expecting Jericho. The WWE really should have brought him out at the end of the night, though. Randy Orton kicks Triple H's head in with the concussion kick and wins the match, then Randy Orton poses with the WWE Championship, and boom. Jericho is back.
LOL at the WWE for thinking Triple H is a draw.

Jericho did tip me in the way of buying it, plus we have a 3 for 2 deal in the UK right now and it includes Survivor Series, so I bought it on that basis.
The Raw title scenario made me happy with my decision though. I really enjoyed the PPV. It would have been amazing with Jericho, but like what’s already been said, I can’t be mad because he wasn’t there, as he was never advertised

You and probably a lot of people. I don't think anyone said "OMGZ JERICHO WIL B THEIR I MUST BYE THE PAPER VIEW" but I think there were a lot who said... "should I... shouldn't I... fuck, I kinda want to see it... and since Jericho MIGHT be there..."
I applaud WWE's buildup and use of fan anticipations.

I brought it, not thinking Jericho would be there, but more thinking how I would feel if I didn't buy and he was.
Fuck I'm tired now though. Two hours sleep is not enough. :(

Me too! Nice to see that they are at least being original

That's exactly it, I think. It's the same reason I bought No Way Out 2004. Not too many people were expecting a title change coming out of Brock Lesnar vs. Eddie Guerrero, but I had a good feeling about it. I didn't want to miss it, and when it happened, I was pretty happy. It's not wanting to miss something that makes me buy PPVs more often than not.

Well, it was that, plus the fact that also being British means I crave disapointment.

I noticed that WWE don't have people do surprise returns at PPVs anymore. If anything they'll advertise them being there to get more buys.

I bought it not expecting Jericho, but hoping he would make an appearance. I wasn't majorly disappointed or anything when he didn't show.

I watched cartoons on fox. I figured they would do more hype before jericho comes back if he comes back.

Also, I'm from Missouri, the show me state. So until I see Jericho jobbing to HHH, I won't believe he is back.
I was just surprised Cena didn't overcome the odds and beat ever wrestler in the locker room using only his dry wit and long words
