View Full Version : What would you like to see Jericho return as?

We all know he is on his way...and apparently the date is next Monday....

So do you want to see him return as a face or a heel?

Theo Dious

Face. Jericho is going to get cheered no matter what, and it flusters Vince's mind when heels get cheered. Jericho's quickest path to stagnation is to return as a heel.

...Loose Cannon.

Jericho, if he returns, is going to be a face.

And it's retarded to insist the date is set for next week.

Well as long as the marks hang on to the videos and whatnot, and spaz out over hidden codes, I think WWE would be best holding off for a little bit longer.

But this is WWE, so he'll be back on ECW tonight, as a heel, despite everyone cheering him. Just like Kennedy, Christian and so many more before them.

On a side note, by saying that, ever notice WWE rarely does a face turn right? With people like Kennedy and Christian, they missed the boat all together, and with others like Orton and Cena, they did it to the extent where they completly changed the character and what got it over with the fans in the 1st place.

Wankers.

I alot of people havce noticed, yeah. people have been complaining about it for like 4 years now, or more. They bitched about the missed opportunities, they bitched about the babyface fuckups, and they bitched, all in all.

Kennedy, they should probably not really turn in the first place. He gets pops, but he's capable of grabbing a lot more heat.

Lord-Of-Darkness
10-23-2007, 12:39 PM
Yeah, I'm aware people have bitched before about respective wrestlers. It just suprises me that they do it over, and over, and over....

Kane Knight

What's so surprising, though?

I mean, I'm more amazed that they've managed to not fuck thigns up as often as they've done.

Remember when they decided to turn Austin heel? "I NEED A HUG?" Shows how poorly they think things through, and amazes me that they managed to not fuck Austin up through the big years of his career as SCSA. Or the Rock. They've ruined most of their potential big stars. but that's nothing new. When someone got too over in the past, they'd squash them with Austin or Taker or Trips.

Face because WWE doesn't know how to book a heel turn that would work with Jericho. It's possible and could be epic but it won't happen.

He only got one song in WWE

There were multiple versions of his "Walls" Theme and then there was "Don't you wish you were me?" Or whatever.

Lord-Of-Darkness
10-23-2007, 08:30 PM
And 'King of My World' By Saliva. He used that a few times before I beleive it was used for the Highlight Reel?

You mean King of My World by Saliva? I think he used that theme for all of one month.

DarKCentaur

Ahh Saliva, the official back-up band for WWE themes. I want another Disturbed remix dammit!

CSL

I'd bring him in as a face.

Have these videos go on for however long, announce @ some point that 'next week, all will be revealed etc'. The moment comes...and out comes *insert random heel wrestler here* He talks about how he's gonna save the WWE and during that, THEN the Jericho countdown hits and he returns.

Be something different. They'd still pull in people just to see the 'reveal', I think the pop would be even louder and it'd be a nice little swerve for the smarks who will have posted 134,982 'OMG WWE SUX' comments 0.2 seconds after Jericho doesn't show straight away.

KingofOldSchool

Honestly the only time I liked Jericho as a heel was in WCW. So I hope he comes in as a face.

Kane Knight
10-23-2007, 08:43 PM

Nope.

I don't remember if it was Jericho or Fozzy, but it was a legit entrance theme.

How the fuck do you get "King of My World?" Out of that?

ozzman6669
10-23-2007, 09:11 PM
He never use "dont you wish you were me" as a theme, it was on WWE Originals album. He almost always use the same walls theme, only the video changed. He never used the sevendust version of forceable entry.

Actually he did use the "Don't You Wish You Were Me" theme.

Mr. Nerfect
10-23-2007, 09:15 PM
Yeah, KK, I think you're thinking of the song he did on the WWE Originals album done by Fozzy. I think he sung it on RAW a few times as a heel, which is why you remember it. He might have come out to it once or twice, though.

Also, Jericho returning as anything but a face is fucking stupid.

Lord-Of-Darkness
10-23-2007, 09:22 PM
Yeah he did use it as a theme, I remember that. The countdown would go down as normal and then it kicked right into the chorus with 'Don't you wish you were me.......'

Yes he did. Being on the Originals album doesn't preclude being a theme song, as the presence of "Basic Thuganomics" on the record would demonstrate. Using a song from Originals as an entrance theme promotes it, as they did when they had other wrestlers promote their music.

Also, since you were already proven wrong, and that another theme was used (Saliva), sit down, shut the fuck up, and let the grown ups talk.

"He might have come out to it once or twice, though"

So...GASP...He entered to the theme?

I must be confused. Why would someone list that as an entrance theme?

Actually, KK, I said he might have used it as an entrance theme, so you using that statement against ozzman like you did is pretty retarded.

Also, I didn't give a shit about RAW at the time, so you'll have to forgive me for not recalling right away that he entered to it.

I didn't use it against him.

It's sad that you keep looking to make shit up, then calling it retarded.

Though we do agree. The shit that comes out of your head is retarded.

Also, you may not have given a shit about Raw, but it was rather retarded of you to speak on a matter in an instance you didn't know what you were talking about.

I mean, I might have been thinking about when he sung it on Raw, or I might have been thinking of the actual instances in which it was used. Just, you know, thinking here.

There is not a choice. If he comes back, he will be recieved as a face for at least 6 months. If they play him as a heel, he'll prob just get more face reactions.

They went "I'm gonna beat everyone's ass" deal, you know the same charector he had, except his rage was targeted on faces and the weak. But the people still cheered; so what do you do? They changed the charector, and rightfully so. I mean hell beating wemon didn't work, so yeah, they tried doing the opposite.

Which translates to hugging.

What about the heel turn during the end of the Alliance storyline. It went on for weeks with The Rock. I really enjoyed that heel turn.

He needs to be a face. People will not buy a heel return. They love Jericho too much and will know that it was forced.

The WWE needs to have the Save Us video come on, cut the lights out, play the song "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2, have the lights and theme almost exactly like the "King of my World" entrance with the black and blue. Instead of walking out and doing his pose, there should be a mechanism to raise him from under the stage to the entry way. Kind of like Angle's in TNA, but slower. That would be soooo fucking hot, imo.

The crowd would explode and the pop would be 'Rock' like. I personally think the guy should win the title at WM. He deserves a 'great moment' type win. Have guys come out and congrats him.

btw, was reading about him on wikipedia and found this (pisses me off, but its old i know):

Jericho lost the title to Triple H (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple_H) in the main event of WrestleMania X8 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WrestleMania_X8).[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Jericho#_note-wwebio) (It is alleged that two weeks prior to his WrestleMania X8 loss, McMahon said of his title reign that he was "The biggest flop as WWE Champion ever."[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Jericho#_note-1))

I'm not even going to get into that right now...:n:

I'm talking about now.

Making him a face is too obvious. I think they should think outside the box and make him a heel to give him an intriguing run, but they won't. He'll be interesting for about a month, but then fall back into his old face gimmick, which while good, is played out. Plus he'll fall down the card.

If they did it right, this could be something good. The debut will be big, no doubt. As far as the stale thing, yea if they make him face for the remainder of his time there. Come in as a face, climb up the ladder a little bit, get fans back on you, and have a HUGE heel turn with a stable behind it. THAT is where Jericho would shine, the leader of an 'up and coming' group of people. With him as the veteran, include guys like the bulldog's son (forgot his name), Londrick, and Cody Rhodes. They can be a force in the WWE, a humour-but will kick your ass-stable, or a "tweener" type of group (nWo). There are things that can happen with this Jericho thing, but people just need to think about it instead of throwing out w/e.
