I go for The Brain, his stuff in the 80's and 90's was pure gold

I was a bigger fan of wrestling during heymans reign as a commentator than when heenan was at the helm which is why I pumped for heyman. More of a casual fan back in the day, didn't really watch wrestling religiously until like 98 but i've seen alot of the older stuff

Both top quality though

As a commentator, Heenan should be considered the all time greatest IMO. He was never bad, and always was entertaining.

But Heyman is probably better in other areas than Heenan is.

No contest --> The Brain.

Heyman is great in this era of no managers, but you can't put him in the same league as Bobby Heenan.

Heenan was pure greatness. Everyone should take lessons from him,

The way the "Brain" would cut down the wrestlers he disliked was priceless..
Heenen lays the smack down on Heyman, hands down..

Bobby Heenan by a mile. Heyman isn't even second in my opinion. Jim Cornette is better too.

While I have always found Heyman very entertaining, Nothing beats the pure class of Bobby :y:

As great as Heyman is, Heenan has him beat by a landslide.

i dont think heyman has the one liner capabilities as the brain, so i go for the brain, I mean "look! hes trying to escape through the window!" was a classic on the brains part

How can you compare Heyman to Heenen? Heenen, no contest.

Pffft as a commentator heyman could never come close to filling heenans shoes.

As much as I like Paul E., no one comes close to The Brain when it comes to unmitigated awesomeness. He was the only person I've ever seen play the role of the heel commentator and not be annoying as hell with it (take notes, Lawler) He was absolutely brilliant as an announcer, especially if there was someone like Mike Tenay he could play off of.

Anyways, Heyman's awesome, but Heenan wins by a mile.

As good as Heyman is, comparing Bobby Heenan to Paul is like, in Bobby's own words, "comparing Prime Rib to Luncheon Meat."

What made the then wwf more enjoyable in the early 90's was the duo of heenan and monsoon, if the match was kinda slow heenan and monsoon could play off of each other and just listening to them trade little insults was hilarious. Best commentary team ever imo :(

This is a no "Brainer" pardon the pun, but this is really a no contest poll. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan by a large margin. Enough said.

I dunno I love Paul Heyman. He can cut promos like no other, knows how to get under a crowds skin, and is one of the best heels of all time. The Brain was very good but I think Heyman is better

No contest ~ Bobby Heenen was a class act both on camera and off. Paul Heyman is as much of a jerk behind the scenes as he is on Smackdown. I say "BRING BACK STEPHANIE"

Very tough choice, but I went with Heyman.

Mostly because his antics amuse me more than Heenan's.

Although I do greatly respect Heyman and I do think he is a great commentator I have to go with the Brain.

Maybe just because I have so many memories of matches with Heenan doing commentary. Mr. Perfect vs Bret Hart at SS 92'. "Perfect will be in the showers in ten minutes". And Yokozuna vs Lex Luger, Luger body slammed Yoko in the center of the ring. "Hip lock! Hip lock!" Those 2 always spring to mind for some reason.

Heenan is easily the best manager of all time.

Paul E is brilliant, and is the most entertaining thing about Smackdown right now (apart from angle and eddy), but nobody has ever been able to equal the Weasel.
