Chavo, Tajiri, Akio, Ultimo, Rey, Kidman, Funaki, Nunzio, Shannon Moore, Noble

Only 9, but it's all they showed, yet they even said there'd be 10 guys in it. WHERE THE **** is PAUL LONDON!?!?!

Meh, looks awesome anyway, I guess the 10th slot is going to Malenko.

Haha. I wish Paul London was in... but he hasn't been on SD! yet so it wouldn't make much sense. At least Akio is in. I'm wondering what the exact rules will be. It seems like it will be like a gauntlet match in that two square off and fight until a pinfall, and then a new opponent enters. Does that mean Chavo's going against all ten people (I'm predicting he'll retain  )?

They should have left the participants a surprise until the match itself. Then have all of Smacdown's cruisers and Spike Dudley and Hurricane participate. They could then have Rey pin Chavo early on as a measure of revenge (and ensuring that a new Champion will be crowned). I'd have the final 4 be Rey, London, Ultimo (I'm a mark, let me dream  ) and Hurricane. That way there would be a fear of the title going to Raw.

^ I don't think the cruiser title will go to Raw, as Smackdown has an established cruiserweight division whereas Raw's cruisers are just too little (Spike, Hurricane, Matt Hardy?). The title will be better off on Smackdown, and it should be.

As far as I know, the WWE doesn't like champions to be elimated early in an elimination match, so as to keep the element of surprise and keep the audience guessing whether the champion will retain or if another guy will be the champ.
I think Rey, Chavo, Shannon Moore and Kidman will make a great Final 4.

Chavo should win. He needs a long title run

It doesn't matter who wins against Chavo; in my opinion the winner of the CW Open itself should be pretty damn nice.

Cross your fingers for Ultimo.

As much as I would like to see this match, especially the way WWE has their cruiserweight matches, anybody expecting this to be kind of a throway like the Hardcore Title match at Wrestlemania 2000?

I'm not saying that it should go to Raw, just that a Raw cruiser should be in the final 4 so that Tazz and Cole can talk about the risk of the title going to Raw.

They could eve have the 3 Smackdown finalists team up against the Raw outsider, which creates an air of brand competition.

They should save a spot for Jeff Hardy. I heard his music the other day and I have a feeling that he will be begging for his job back soon.

That would be nice. Imagine King rambling on about the possibilities of the Cruiser title on Raw... :wtf:
