Ok, so we all know Johnny Van Zant, who is the brother of Ronnie Van Zant (the original lead singer).
2 original band members, Gary Rossington and Billy Powell, are still touring.
My question to you is, if both of them retire or something tragic happens to them, do you think the band would become a tribute band or could Johnny carry Lynyrd Skynyrds name on?

They're already pretty much a tribute band.

Skynyrd have already transcended the bounds of band members and crossed into timelessness.

They are from Jacksonville, FL so that song is ridiculous..
The new singer is the son of .38 Special's old singer.. My bro saw them like a year ago and said they put on a hell of a show..
Simple Man is awesome..
p.s. Robert Patrick (T2000 from Terminator 2) was on this movie with me.. Anyway we had the douchebag DP from Canada.. Anyway I had on a Skynyrd hat and Robert Patrick was like "Skynyrd huh??".. I said "Yeah".. He goes, "Sweet Home Alabama" and I was like "yeah, even though their from Florida".. He said "I hope Neil Young will remember??" and the douchebag DP goes "OH, I LOVE Neil Young".. Robert Patrick was like "Of coarse you do, you're Canadian.."..
It was ROFLMFAO..

Saw them live years ago, and they were waaaaayyy too good to be considered a tribute band.
