View Full Version : I miss WWF New York
If I really wanted a WWE shirt or something, I could just go there to get it. Now I can only get it from shopzone and I hate online shopping. Also have wanted a title belt since I was a kid, and they closed their doors just as I got a steady job. V_V
I never got to eat inside there though...did anyone try it? Was it any good?

I used to like Sunday Night Heat at WWF New York. They'd have their own little cast of characters (like this one big fat guy who might have also been on Tough Enough later) and guest hosts every week. The episode where Kaientai guest hosts is one of the greatest things I've ever seen. Sadly I can't find it anywhere.
I don't know why, but one of my favorite moments was Chris Jericho hosting with Fozzy being a musical guest. During the show, he would be good guy Chris Jericho, but then you would also see him as this character Mongoose McQueen which would act like the old heel Jericho.

Test also, cause he complained about being there while he should have been on the PPV

I remember the one time during Heat when Stone Cold was on and Tazz was just annoying Austin during the entire show. At the very end of it...Stone Cold dumps Tazz from the annoucers booth located on the second floor to the bottom.
Good times...good times.

The food was OK. Like a regular diner kinda thing I guess. I think I just had a burger anyway. I went there during Raw, it was pretty fun.
And I met Taz there.

I never got a chance to go in there, but I did walk past it back in '01. Due to being in a group, I couldn't go in, but once we got free time later, I was already too far away to go back. But the place definitely looked cool, and wished I could have went in.

So what was it like when it became 'The World'

Pretty much the same thing, just everything that said "WWF New York" was converted to "The World".

Bit dissapointed I never went to NYC when it was open. I've walked right past it's doors numerous times now that it's turned into a Hard Rock. Wish I could have gone just for the experience.

Remember the WCW Nitro Grill?
I sure don't.
Actually, I'm not sure why it failed. Was the restaurant itself not making enough money, or was it a business decision by WWE to retain money rather than place it in a restaurant.
I heard they were having trouble with management stealing money or some shit.

I went there once when it was the world to see mudvayne back in the day. I remember everything being pretty over priced.
