2 years ago today Eddie Guerrero died.

With all the deaths recently in wrestling it seems like this was longer than 2 years, maybe that’s just me. For me he was the best wrestler of his era, he could mix up a number of styles better than anyone else, he was the last guy to be able to truly turn a crowd and have them in his hands the whole time, he was a complete performer. No other wrestlers death effected me like Eddie’s did.

Lets use this thread to talk about Eddie and some of your memories of him

One that stands out for me, and probably a lot of people in their recent memories, was when I went to see WrestleMania 20, and seeing Eddie and Benoit hugging in the ring after Benoit won the title and celebrating together afterward.

Goddamn, he's right. With how dark the past two years have been it seems like its been longer... The other day I was talking to a friend about how they could put Eddie's DVD out again, and add a third disk called "Remembering Eddie" at the five year mark, thinking that was only a year away.

I would have loved to see a three month mid-card program with Eddie and Kerwin White :(

Dave you basically said everything i would've about him, and obviously that memory with benoit at WM20 is one of if not the best of him. Also i will always rememebr when he won the title off Brock Lesnar and him jumping into the crowd/celebrating while his family were there at no way out,

One of my fondest memories is actually the Smackdown after he won the title, where he made a speech and had a celebration. He was just SO damn over. Nothing of the sort was seen since the times of The Rock.

Over the next few months with his initial title run, he pretty much defined Smackdown, and I like how they had him kinda be the leader of his brand. He stood up to Booker T when he got drafted and started to talk bad about SD, he fought HHH in a crossbrand match in which he came out looking stronger.

He was the heart and soul of the WWE at the time, and the most over thing since sliced bread.

Then he lost to JBL.
