View Full Version : To everyone who believes WWE and Shawn Michaels are over Montreal
I'd bet my balls on the Sharpshooter being involved in the finish at the Survivor Series this week.
But yeah, they are over it.
I don't think anyone is denying WWE/Michaels aren't over the screwjob. In fact, I completely expect the finish to be the Sharpshooter, they even hinted at it last night.
The problem is the people claiming that Bret is over it.

Uhhh...Yeah.
Nobody has claimed, in the last week, that Shawn or Vince were over it.
Come on, it's a common argument. That Bret should get over it like them/because they did.

Sounds logical to me.

didnt see last weeks show, how did they hint a sharpshooter finish? Montreal is Vince and Michaels' "Go To" move when they need heel heat anywhere outside the U.S.A.

It was subtle, but Shawn basically said that since he didn't have the Superkick, he would/could beat Orton with a wrestling move or a submission.
Does that mean it'll be the Sharpshooter? No, but my bet is Shawn winning via Sharpshooter and/or Vince screwing Orton.
Why Vince would screw Orton, I don't know, but it could easily come back to Vince joining with Shawn to take on Hunter.

The difference...
Shawn/Vince uses the Screwjob as a fun way of making storylines and or wrestling moments...and in the process *gasp* entertain the fans.
Bret uses the Screwjob to get sympathy. HOWEVER I do think that by not letting go of it, Bret has in a strange way solidified his legacy. In truth, had Michaels not have come back, his legacy would have been the down period of the WWF. BASICALLY what Bret's legacy is right now, the difference is that by Bret constantly using The Screwjob as a means of bringing his name back into some form of the spotlight, he's remembered far better. Ask anyone who came in at the Attitude Era, Bret Hart is at best an answer to a trivia question. Nobody who tuned in from 1998 onward really gives a flying fuck about who screwed who, for them (which is most of the wrestling fanbase these days) Bret is only known BECAUSE of the Screwjob.
Just a thought...
I agree with Bullet. Kliq for Life.

Bret Hart interferes and yells for the ref to call for the bell while Michaels has the sharpshooter locked in, costing Orton the match in a huge swerve.

I wouldn't necessarily count on Vince screwing Orton, but possibly screwing Shawn? Remember when HBK demanded his rematch, Vince said "be careful what you wish for." Maybe Orton reversing a Sharpshooter and Vince calling for a premature bell without HBK tapping out? I'd be more inclined to think that would be the case, as opposed to Vince siding with HBK. Also, it'd be incredibly ironic to 10 years later, have the one that did the screwing, get screwed in the same fashion, in the same arena, and it'd probably please the Montreal crowd overall.
It's not in Montreal this year.
And I think Michaels turning on Hunter would be an interesting way to go. Last time they feuded Hunter was heel and Shawn was face. Let's switch it up, turn Shawn (for the first time in a LOOOONG time) and hate on Hunter. It's a natural storyline where he hated him for "forcing" to do the crotch chops and the DX sketches. He doesn't even have to like Vince, he could just be using him to get at Hunter (bringing in a bit of hypocrisy to the storyline).
Does it make complete sense? Maybe not, but we need something unexpected. Turning Michaels could be very interesting and would be better than turning Triple H and just redoing the feud from when Michaels returned.
And I'm not saying the feud HAS to happen, but again, it would be newer than the shit now.
And Orton, of course, comes into this where Vince had originally told him that he would "make him win" but then screws him because Hunter is the bigger fish to fry.

I'd prefer an actual screwjob to another work. If not, I've seen enough.
There's no way it's going to be a clean finish, especially with the stipulations.
Is the screwjob guaranteed? No, but it's more likely than ever.

I bet just about anything Vince screws Shawn.
But a screwjob makes me think this would end the night. And with Edge likely debuting in the more hyped Taker/Batista hell in a cell, wouldn't that likely end the night?
Edge is coming back to RAW from what I understand.
I don't know, have they even been promoting Edge on TV? On SmackDown!?
Jeritron

They haven't really promoted him on the product, but he's all over the Survivor Series stuff.
I can't understand why in the world he'd return to Raw when Smackdown needs main eventers and needs a heel. I also don't understand why'd they have his return on the same show at the same time as Jericho.
But, plenty of shit does happen that makes no sense to me, so maybe you're right.

I don't think there will be any screwjob, seeing as to how Bret seems to be on decent enough terms with the WWE these days, and that would probably just upset him all over again.
Also, do you guys really think Shawn Michaels is against turning heel (as has been reported) or was he just saying that so that people will actually be shocked if he does turn heel one day?
I don't doubt Michaels would be "against it" if conditions were right. Him turning heel would freshing his character up and open a lot more to RAW.

If Bret Hart shows up at SS I will never post here again (can see KK praying for bret to show up! lol )
Anyway. I think Vicne shouldnt' have done the screwjob angles to death like he has. Imagine the only other screwjob happens 10 years later with the original players. This time Bret gets his revenge.

Bret can't get his revenge. Bret can't even not poop his pants anymore. Yeah, think about that one.
Anyhow, K4L. Micheals is the only one that did his job that night. Bret Hart is crap. Blah blah blah.
P.S. Orton is boring.

Because of Edge having to forfeit his World Championship on Smackdown, followed by the advertisements running with him saying "You think im bitter?," i'd wager he's going to return to Smackdown and go right back into the title scene, similarly to how Undertaker did...claiming he never lost what was rightfully his. Undertaker and Edge feud carrying to WM could be $$.

I had a random dream last night that Bret Hart showed up on RAW and literally tried to kill Shawn Michaels.
Thought I'd contribute that to this thread.

Damn right we think you're bitter, Edge, it's the only emotion you've successfully portrayed in the last 2 years or so.

That would be a whole lot better than anything the WWE has planned. :y:
But seriously, I think they should just go with the Sweet Chin Music, HBK forfeits ending. Have HBK then just try and cost Orton the title at every turn.
Edge should be returning to SmackDown!, to feud with Batista. Have him challenge 'Tista at Armageddon, and get disqualified (yeah, they've been doing it a lot lately, but it would make sense with Edge), and he hurts Batista pretty bad, then taunts him into a No Disqualification Rematch for the Royal Rumble, where Edge goes over with some con-chair-tos.
