I see potential in:
Kennedy
Santino
Cena
Edge
CM Punk
Dunno, I don't think the Attitude era days can ever be recreated, those are just guys I see with potential to be huge. I understand Cena is already, but he's still rising.

Oh yeah, definitely Orton too, can't believe I forgot him. I don't think Batista is gonna be much, he's already like 42 years old.

Nobody really stands out right now. There was just so much talent 8, 9, 10 years ago. Now, guys with talent don't get pushed, the main event is full of rush job champions and guys from years gone by who could have been champ moved on, retired or got buried (figuratively and literally).
There will never be another attitude era. Everything just worked then. It was a complete fluke that so many little things came together in just the right way.
This sort of applies to WCW and ECW too.

The Rock: MVP
Stone Cold Steve Austin: Mr. Kennedy
Undertaker: Festus (seriously)
Mankind: Santino Marella
Triple H: John Cena
I'm just trying to fit guys to people who match their image. MVP and The Rock both had the cocky athlete thing going on, and Mr. Kennedy reminds me of Stone Cold Steve Austin, a lot. Festus is a bit of an odd pick, but he's over like fuck right now. He's great at playing characters, and not too bad for a big man (much like The Undertaker). He's got a silly gimmick, but who knows as time goes on? Santino Marella and Mankind just match up to me as the loveable loser types. John Cena goes well with Triple H, I think. If Cena plays a heel character, he'd be damn near unstoppable, and a lot more enjoyable.

IMO there’s no ‘next’
There’s no next Hogan or Warrior, Austin was as over as Hogan, but was NOTHING like him.
The 5 guys I see the most potential in right now are:
MVP
Jeff Hardy
CM Punk
Infact, the more I think about it, that’s it, can’t pick 5 guys, they are the ones I will always watch right now, there’s loads of guys who I enjoy, but they won’t get to that level.

Hard to compare who will be the next what just because the things that made those people so popular were unique to them. Guys that have lots of charisma though would be: Santino, MVP, Cade/Murdock, CM Punk, and Kennedy if he stops fucking around. I definitely don't see anymore Mick Foley's coming into the WWE, mainly because that style of wrestling is way gone.

Also, I would say most of this isn't due to bad wrestling, but more to bad booking. Scapegoat, maybe, but it's hard to see much of anything when your roster is seven guys, fifty jobbers, and some divas.

Guys with serious potential...
1) CM Punk - Universally liked by marks and smarks...and he's well liked enough by management I gather.
2) Jeff Hardy - Weather or not JR's million names for are annoying or not, he's just got the fanbase. Period. (though in theory he could burn out at any moment, so who knows)
3) MVP - He's half man, half amazing.
4) Randy Orton - He's going to be the heel of heels in a couple of years. (He's already IMO the best heel on the WWE roster)
5) Edge - He's got quite a bit of gas left in the tank.

Undertaker: Festus (seriously)
Festus is a bit of an odd pick, but he's over like fuck right now. He's great at playing characters, and not too bad for a big man (much like The Undertaker). He's got a silly gimmick, but who knows as time goes on?
The master of disguises of WWE as the next Taker level star? Nah. You gotta convince me more than just giving me some doofus who only "hulks up" between the bells...

MVP is the freshest new character since Kurt Angle, I hope he goes all the way up.
Kennedy has alot of potential but has looked sloppy since coming back off suspension.
Jeff and Matt Hardy could both explode in 2008 and one of them might get the cinderella title win.
John Morrison needs to get the fuck out of ECW and into the upper midcard of Smackdown.

Rock - MVP
Austin - Mr. Kennedy (if he gets his act together)
Triple H - Val Venis
Undertaker and Mankind are too unique to have a "next" one. That being said you could say the same for Rock, Austin and Triple H too.

Maybe someday when people stop striving to be the next Austin, we'll get the first ___.
