So I was reading about what it supposedly says about his return in the WWE magazine and it talks about him working on ring rust and getting his skills back training with Lance Storm. Supposedly he has added to his moveset and is introducing a whole new finisher.

Sounds like it'll prob be a sudden, high impact move like the stunner or sweet chin music are, since that's what Vince always wanted him to have.

I was reading about this in his new book.

Thoughts?

lol

I just hope whatever it is isn't as lame as "the breakdown" which never really caught on

I wonder what and when his first match will be.

In the magazine it talks about him working with HHH, HBK, Kennedy and a few others

Actually, I'm gonna honestly go with "The Ayatollah of Resta-Holdah."

I don't even remember the Breakdown.

I mean, I saw him wrestling when he used it, but I don't remember it at all.

I want to see him bring back the Triple Powerbomb. Not STRICTLY a finisher, but....

Yea I think the reason his triple powerbomb got phased out is because he worked with smaller wrestlers in WCW, and with guys like Road Dogg and Xpac initially in his WWF run.

Once his popularity got up there, he was thrown into the mix with heavyweight and I don't think it's possible or smart having a guy Jericho's size trying to get HHH or Cena up for 3 powerbombs

Wasn't the Breakdown Jarret's Stroke?

Yeah, but most of the guys he was working with were still smaller. Maybe he couldn't bust it on Trips, but I'm betting he could even do it on Cena. He wouldn't, because that would make the Superman look like a sissy, but...

The breakdown was more of a full nelson, when the stroke was more of a reverse russian leg sweep

But they are the same actions

Not if Cena just popped back up and made him tap out to the STFU simply by spitting on Jericho repeatedly.

:shifty:

Wait! I got it!

He hits two powerbombs and goes up for the third, only for Cena to no sell the impact and do his new "Ground FU" which is basically an even stupider fireman's carry.

I hope it's a piledriver, I'm betting it'd be lame like a single leg boston crab that they'll call the Liontamer.

I really hope he doesn't abandon the Walls. I don't want it to be a move where he RARELY pulls it off. Unless it's the proper Liontamer version, in which case, once every other month or so is fine.

If he pulls off the shitty "Barely even a Boston Crab, let alone the Walls" Walls, he can abandon it for all I care.

True.

Noting that he trained with Lance Storm, I wouldn't be surprised to see him debut a Single Leg Boston Crab. Which would be pretty anticlimactic.

He'll still have the walls. I'm thinking he's just gonna get a fresh, impact pinfall manuever.

I think it's cool. It's kind of like when Taker returned with the Last Ride. He kept doing the tombstone, but he had this whole new finisher he could bust out too.

You want anti-climactic? He finishes with "If I Could Be Serious For A Second"

Nothing wrong with the Breakdown. Rock made it look unexpected when Jericho did it to him, as in - not much protection etc.

Nice to see someone expanding their moveset in WWE, rather than simplifying it. Or is the proper euphanism, "being safe".

Provided he "expands" it instead of "replacing moves with other, safer, 'new' moves."
