So it's good? Awesome. I was kinda torn about whether I should watch it, because someone told me the trailer for it looked bad, and I didn't want to ruin the awesome legacy that Futurama had left in my mind and the way it was ended with Devil's Hands... and whatnot, but if it doesn't disappoint then I am fucking there.

Why is there a pic of me in your sig??
I put all the pics that I had photoshopped in the past into my sig and yours was one of the ones I did. I'll take it off if you ask nicely lol.

Watched this last night. Thought it was awesome. Apart from the plot holes...damn sci fi comedy writers :p
And Jura it makes me feel really sad sometimes too...not many shows can do that.

I consider myself a pretty big Futurama fan, and after watching BBS a few more times, I thought i'd have a go at reviewing it:
Futurama - Benders Big Score 4* out 5
I have been waiting 4 long years for new Futurama, after it was so undeservedly canceled by FOX, so when it was announced it was coming back 18 or so months ago, I was over the moon. When FOX said it was in feature length for, I was excited more so, until Seth McFarlane fucked up Family Guy with "Stewie Griffin, The Untold Story".
Fast-forward, 20th November 2007, a week before Benders Big Score is to be released on DVD, and I would have to import it. A torrent appears. and another..and another, and so forth. Do I download it? Do I wait for the DVD? I download it eagerly, and settle down for 90mins of Futurama.
It's funny. Very funny, the humor is right on the button, the writers havn't changed a winning formula. I am a very happy man.
A few days later, I watch again....it's still funny, very funny. It's still Futurama...but something doesn't feel right. I don't think it works as a feature length. I think it is much more suited to the episodic format, which I pray they bring back. Don't get me wrong, I loved Benders Big Score, and I can't wait to see Beast With a Billion Backs, Benders Game, and The Wild Green Yonder.
I'm glad Futurama is back, please guys, just don't mess it up like Family Guy
Oh, and there was far, FAR too little Zap Brannigan.
Be kind, first time i've tried reviewing anything.

I'm missing the part that doesn't feel right. Aside from the very beginning, which I thought was pretty weak, it not only felt like Futurama, but worked with the 90 minute format. I'll chalk the beginning up to a slow start (Or the writers watching Family Guy) and say that it's as strong as ever.

One or two more jokes related to modern pop stars or whatever than I'd prefer, but still gold.
Also, 600th post. Go me.

Awesome movie, miles beyond Family Guy's and just a hair behind The Simpsons, IMHO.
Although I do think it got kinda boring in the end *spoiler*when they were on Neptune*spoiler* but picked right back up for the "big reveal"

Glad I bought it. I really enjoyed it, even if some of the gags fell flat. They really wore out the "executive powder" joke, for one. And it bugged me that even though the movie went out of its way to keep in line with the series, they still ignored the ending to "The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings."
Those gripes aside, I loved it.

It does have Everybody Loves Hypno-Toad, as well as an animated promo for An Inconvenient Truth for no reason other than the fact that Matt Groening loves Al Gore. It's also got the voice actors reading a comic at ComiCon where they basically do the first bunch of gags from the movie, making fun of how they got cancelled. And a rather interesting lecture where a mathemetician shows all of the numerical references in the show.
Not a bad set of features, but nothing spectacular. Unless you just really really do love Hypno-Toad.

Well, the series had a tendency to "ignore" any instance in which Fry and Leela grew closer, so I guess it's par for the course.
